My name is Jeffery Akuruko Adogya, a second year student of Architecture in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. I am a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme. I count myself blessed to have crossed paths with EPI at the most crucial moments of my educational journey and even my life in its entirety. EPI has greatly impacted all aspects of my life especially three: academics, family and career path.
I had so many things running through my mind reminding me of background and possible consequences if I am unable to continue to second year because of obvious financial setbacks. All along nothing positive crossed my mind because I never knew opportunities like this existed in my University.
But I thank God I have EPI taking away all these troublesome thoughts and mentoring me to become the best of myself. EPI offered me a comprehensive scholarship after a series of interviews.
I was able to help my mother with some of the pocket money that EPI gave me to support her in her peasant farming. She is really happy I am under EPI and therefore, very grateful.
With the compulsory internship for EPI beneficiaries, I did mine and it was fantastic to be introduced to Architecture in the field. This have in one way or the other brought me a step closer to being who I want to be. The internship I took exposed me to many things that gives me headway of being an Architect.
I would want to use this opportunity to thank Educational Pathways International and its benefactors and sponsors for making such a great impact in my life within a short period of time. The scholarship has made me see and experience better and still on the way to seeing more of it. I, therefore, use this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to EPI for supporting me come this far, not forgetting the staff and mentors we have to make see and forge ahead to the attainment of our goals. I will work and study my best to bring success to myself and my community in the future. May God shower blessings on EPI to change more lives.
Thank you.

I am writing to thank Educational Pathways International (EPI) for their generosity and care that they unselfishly give to support the educational endeavours of students like me. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as a recipient of this scholarship after series of interviews. I am in the fourth year offering Doctor of Pharmacy at the University For Development Studies (UDS) at Tamale in the northern region of Ghana. Eunice Asamoah is my name.
I chose to study Pharmacy because this profession will instil in me the competency to make sound judgment in the clinical setting and to promote rationale drug therapy that is safe, appropriate and cost-effective. And most importantly, I will have a close interaction and relationship with my patients.
I plan to become a Clinical Pharmacist. Thanks to Educational Pathways International, I am one step closer to that goal. This scholarship has lessened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school which is learning and studying.
EPI’s generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community and the country as a whole. I have learnt a lot from the topics and skills that we’ve been taken through by the Director of EPI (especially the public speaking lecture). I have also learnt to be time observant in everything that I do.
I have made a commitment to do well with this investment and hope one day I will be able to help people particularly students achieve their goals just as EPI has helped me. I sincerely ask the Almighty God to bless and keep Educational Pathways International.

I am Alice Omari, a second year Actuarial Science student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. Having completed high school, I looked forward to continuing to the university to read the aforementioned programme with the dream of becoming a Risk Analyst. I look forward to a future where I can use this new skills to help evaluate and minimize risks in sole proprietorship kind of business, small and medium scale businesses in my community.

However, I was doubting the possibility of realizing this dream as my parents could not afford to pay for my tertiary education. However, I did apply for admission to offer Actuarial science at KNUST. I was able to pay my fees with some money I gathered during a year stay at home from some menial work I did.

I entered the University with the hope of securing a scholarship to help cushion me financially towards achieving my educational and career goal. I did apply for Educational Pathways Intentional (EPI) Scholarship few weeks after admission into the university. And by God’s grace and after series of interviews I was selected and was awarded a full scholarship. And this has given me the peace of mind to concentrate solely on my studies. I am studying very hard and focusing on achieving my goals.

Having this scholarship has been of so much help to me. I am motivated to study hard, focus on achieving the best of grades in my academic work and develop my personality. Also, it has offered me the opportunity to participate in internship programs during vacations.

I’m very grateful to Educational Pathways International (EPI) for lighting up the end of the tunnel for me and rekindling the hope that was almost lost.

EPI have reaffirmed in me the spirit of social responsibility to develop myself and give back to my community since I believe so much in social activism since growing up.

On this account, I am doing my best by studying hard to become a successful person so that I can also touch the lives of other people just as EPI has touched my life.
I am very grateful for the impact in my life.

Collins Anfo is my name. I am a third-year student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Programme. I am pursuing BSc in Business Administration (International Business).
"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant," said Robert Louis Stevenson. This is to say that EPI did more than giving me a comprehensive scholarship, it also instilled in me a spirit of never-ending pursuit and achievement, filled with gratitude to humanity and society. The ability to learn, as well as the concentration to pursue other academic related activities. For the past three years, I have been able to master concentration on what is important and improve my daily life. Since the 2019/2020 academic year, joining EPI has been a life-changing experience for me.
Since I joined the EPI family, our Program Director has made a concerted effort to develop and hone our skills and talents for our own benefit. Academically, I've made great strides thanks to our Director's guidance. We have addressed a number of significant issues that have strengthened our attitude toward a completely new direction. Beneficiaries of EPI have developed teamwork and live together as a family as a result of healthy interactions. Being with EPI has been an exciting, educational, and life-changing experience.
Our year's program outline ensured that we had the opportunity to benefit from new knowledge. These include, to mention a few, Leadership, Public Speaking, new trends in Employee Competencies, and Resume Writing were important topics of discussion. Our Program Director not only taught us, but also encouraged us to put what we learned into practice while following up. For example, in my faculty student administration, I am now the new Member of Parliament representing my class. As a result, I've been practicing public speaking and developing skills such as emotional intelligence, time management, continuous learning, and collaboration, among others. This experience has made me realize that we are living in an ever-changing environment that necessitates transformation in order to succeed.
My decision to pursue a business degree at the university stems from a strong desire to learn more about the global business world. As an international business option, I want to be a Business Analyst, an International Economist, or an Entrepreneur. I was inspired by various business magnates who not only made it in life, but also actively and positively influenced their communities.
After finishing my university education, I plan to do my national service in any impoverished village or town in my country, while also volunteering tirelessly. After that, I plan to get a job at a well-known business organization and then continue my education. I will do everything in my power to help my circle achieve success.
Robert Louis Stevenson said “Keep your eyes open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.” I’m grateful to EPI for consistently making me feel belonged. EPI has opened my eyes to the possibility of new realities. I keep the challenge to never give up and live up to it. For me, the door to a prosperous future is now open. I will continue to work my way up the ladder because EPI has a strong desire to see me succeed. Thank you very much, EPI.

I'm called Collins Anfo. I am a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Programme and a second year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) sited in Kumasi, Ghana. I am reading BSc. Business Administration (Marketing/International Business).

We face different obstacles in the continuum of striving for change that seem to set a hedge keeping us from accomplishing great things. Fortunately, EPI has helped mitigate these problems for some of us. I am now able to concentrate more on what is important and better my everyday life. For me, joining EPI has been a life altering since 2019/2020 academic year.

Since I joined the EPI family, our Program Director has made a deliberate attempt to build and train our skills and talents for our own good. Academically, thanks to our Director's instructions, I made a giant leap forward. We have tackled numerous impactful issues of great importance that have strengthened our attitude on a whole new direction. Beneficiaries of EPI at my school are brought together by interactions amongst us to create a team and a family. This has led to a steady social life. It has been a very thrilling, informative and life-changing time to be with EPI this short while.

Even during this extraordinary phase of the COVID 19 pandemic, EPI has been with us. The assurance of good will and sincere support helped us to combat this pandemic. As a result of this pandemic, the new "E-learning" program or online education has been launched. Most of us were unfamiliar with it, but we discovered that it was really interesting when it was explained to us. We had the opportunity to be taught how to do online research. We wrote most of our semesters examinations and presentations online last year as well as lectures online. This experience has made me aware that we are in an evolving environment that requires adaptation in order to survive.

Choosing to read a business programme at the university traces back to my great desire to explore the worldwide fields of doing business. As an option for international business, I intend to be a Business Analyst, an International Economist, and an Entrepreneur. I took my inspiration from different business magnates who not only made it in life, but also affected their homes actively and positively.

I will do my national service in any impoverished village or town in my country after completing my university education, at the same time contributing tirelessly to volunteer work. After that, I will secure a job at a renowned business organization, I will further my education later. I will do my utmost to assist my group in striving for successful turnouts.

How proud and thankful I am to be part of the EPI family. I always admire the good work and the effect the Organization has on young people like me. For us, the gateway to a prosperous future is now possible. I will continue to pursue my way up the ladder due to EPI’s overwhelming desire to see me grow and achieve my dreams. Thank you.

I am Khadija Uthman a final year student of the University for Development Studies, Ghana. I have come along to be passionate about Accounting and Finance as a tool to revolutionizing the society informing my decision to study Bachelor of Arts Integrated Business Studies, majoring in Accounting. I aspire to grow in the field of Finance and Accounting, impacting others and communities along the way as informed by my strengths in dealing with numbers, analyzing and deducing a lot of meanings from figures.
Understanding that Finance is one of the greatest tools to revolutionize the society in an era where the fight against financial exclusions is becoming trickier. After first year in school, I used to worry about how to finance my subsequent stay on campus because of financial constraints. Whiles I thought of a solution by engaging in petty trading during vacation to meet academics demands, the third trimester system of my school however would not permitted me since there would not be ample time. For that reason, I started exploring for scholarship opportunities until I discovered and applied for Educational Pathways International and now I am a proud beneficiary.
EPI had made my stay on campus very easy and successful. It has not only helped me financially but also given me broad exposure that would help me in my future career. I believe in giving back to my community by helping others in financial crisis, so they won’t have the same financial burden that I had, growing up in a single family household. I really appreciate EPI family for granting me this opportunity.

Giving back to my community is my major priority. Translating my career ambition into entrepreneurial gains would help reduce the menace of unemployment in my community. I am Gideon Frederick Owusu, a second year BSc. Medical Laboratory Science student in the University of Ghana, Legon (Accra).

As an Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship recipient, I am grateful to the wonderful individuals who make dreams come true for students like me. Their contributions are a true investment in my future. I am the first person in my family to graduate from high school and attend university, as are only a few others.

Receiving the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship has truly paved the way for me to finally be able to better myself, pursue my education, and assist my family and others. Having this scholarship has pushed and motivated me to work even harder in order to thrive in school.

According to the data I gathered, Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) were the top cause of death worldwide. My vision has always been to help humanity lower the risk factors for this devastating disease, which is why I opted to study Medical Laboratory Sciences. I want to not only give disease sensitization programs to humanity, but also diagnose them when necessary. In order to share the benefits of my EPI with individuals other than my family, I've formed a foundation where I and other health science students volunteer to help people's health and well-being.

EPI also offers fantastic 'life after school' programmes. These training programmes go above and beyond to help students succeed. The Program Director of EPI has been more than happy to assist me in any way that I may require. It is a big blessing to have a scholarship like EPI right here in Ghana!

I am eternally grateful to the EPI donors and sponsors who enabled these possibilities for me and other students. Their generosity has provided me with a life opportunity and making my dream a reality. Having the financial weight of school taken off me and my family's shoulders has given me the flexibility to focus on what is essential, that is studying.

I'd like to thank Educational Pathways International's sponsors, donors and benefactors for making a difference in the lives of countless students in Ghana.

Thank you very much.

I am Frederick Gideon Owusu, a third year BSc. Medical Laboratory Science student at the University of Ghana, Legon (Accra).

As an Educational Pathways International scholarship recipient, I am so thankful for the generous people who help make dreams happen for people like me. Their gifts are truly an investment in our futures. I am the first in my family to attend High School and College. The cost of attending a college kept daunting me and for two years I was not able to gather funds for college work.

As the eldest sibling, the guilt of taking time and money away from your family to pursue education is very real. The demands on resources for a single-income family of six are seemingly endless. Receiving the EPI scholarship has literally paved the way for me to finally be able to better myself, have my dream career that I am proud of, volunteer, and help support my family. Having the scholarship has pushed me and given me the motivation to work even harder to excel in college.

Everything was okay till all of the sudden what we thought was far away, Covid-19, was in our midst. I was fortunate enough to have written most of the mid semester exams, but other departments weren't able to as the lecture halls were closed, citizens panicked, the country quickly went on a lockdown. Life quickly changed. Though things were not easy as we had to adjust to the “new normal”. But God being so good, He has seen us through those times of challenges that the whole world faced.
EPI has amazing programs to help students succeed. Some of these programs include entrepreneurship, skills corporate organisations look out for, public speaking, becoming who you want to be and many more. Having EPI helping Ghanaian students is a huge blessing!

I am beyond grateful for the donors of EPI who make these opportunities possible for me and other students. Their generosity has given me an opportunity in my life that I thought had passed me by, turning a dream into a reality. Having the financial burden of education lifted.

The Educational Pathways International (EPI) is a non-profit organization that provide educational support to gifted but needy tertiary students who have the potentials to impact their societies positively toward development. Ever since I, Abrokwah Joseph Junior became a beneficiary of the EPI scholarship program in 2019/2020 academic year, the program has transformed my life appreciably in terms of finance, academics and emotion. Now, I am a second year Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science student at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana, with a dream of becoming a Medical Laboratory Scientist in order to help improve the health of the people of my community and Ghana through the diagnosis and research into health-related issues. EPI is really helping me to acquire the skills and knowledge I would need to realize my dream.
Through the financial support I receive, I obtain every single item concerning my education the requires ‘money’ with much ease. Now, I worry no more about funds to pay my school fees or keep me on campus when school resumes. Through this wonderful intervention of EPI, I have a peaceful mind to focus fully on my academic and extracurricular activities. Also, a very huge financial stress has been released from the shoulders of my family.
During the lockdown period of the Covid-19 pandemic, where all educational institutions were closed and forced to complete the 2019/2020 academic year online, I easily accessed all my online sessions of my studies without paying any extra fees to internet cafés because I had my laptop and other devices which I bought with the funds of EPI scholarship. Hence, all I had to do was to purchase my internet data bundle.
In my stay on campus, I depend absolutely on the financial grant I receive from the EPI scholarship for my accommodation, clothing, and feeding. As a matter of facts, I never imagined a gifted student of my kind, who belongs to a family of peasant farmers with six siblings could have such a smooth condition in my tertiary education but EPI has made this ‘life in the movies’ real to me. I therefore, would use this opportunity to express my immense gratitude to the Educational Pathways International and advocate for donations to help EPI transform the lives of many other gifted but needy students in my country.

I am a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship scheme and it has greatly improved certain aspects of my life and I would like to mention some of them in this piece of writing.
I have great interest in computer systems, mathematics and the way engineers work and by such means use what I study as a Computer Engineering student such as software development to solve problems in my community and nation as a whole, hence I chose to offer this programme. I intend to become a Software Engineer with adequate skills in other aspects taught in the school such as general physics and hardware, as I have developed some level of interest in those aspects, and I also intend to contribute the technological advancements in the country in the future by starting up an Engineering firm to take care of problems related to different engineering fields, while encouraging people directly or indirectly to enter the field of engineering.
I joined Educational Pathways International (EPI) in the October 2019 and since then, I have been able to continue with my academic life in the university without trouble. Adequate funds are supplied to take care of all my needs, be it academic, residence, just to mention but a few. Thanks to them, I have been enjoying a comprehensive scholarship, without having to go through all kinds of stress.
Being on this scholarship has also helped reduce financial burden on my father for these three years. With my tuition and other matters taken care of by EPI, my father no longer has to worry much about the finances that must be invested into my education and focus on that of my siblings and I am very grateful for that.
The Program Director of this scholarship scheme also hold monthly meetings with the beneficiaries during each academic year. We are taught very important skills that will be used in the near future.
The scholarship also serves as a motivation to study very hard and pass my exams very well. As I have heard of all the past and present beneficiaries who have been on this scholarship scheme and have passed all their exams with flying colours and those who have graduated, graduated with excellent grades. I also want to do same and not tarnish their record, and I resolve to study hard.
Thanks to EPI, I have taken another step towards my dreams and I would love to extend my gratitude to the EPI. Taking me through my first year successfully, going on to the second year and seeing me through and now, moving on to the third. I would have had much more difficulty going through these past years if not for the intervention of EPI.
Thank you for all your efforts in bettering my life in the university.

My name is Foster Anopansuo and I am in my second year studying Computer Engineering at the University of Ghana. I am a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship scheme and I am very grateful for being one of those selected to benefit from this scheme.
I choose to study Computer Engineering because of my interest in computer systems, mathematics and physics. I have always been fascinated by these aspects so I chose to study this programme to enable me dig deeper to know more and to be able to apply what I study in order to achieve my dream. As I hope to be a Software Engineer in the near future I also wish to attach knowledge of other branches of computer engineering such as artificial intelligence, robotics, microprocessors just to mention a few, as the programme is very interesting.
Financial issues has always been a problem in my family and if I had not met educational pathways international, life in the university would be very difficult. This scholarship scheme has helped reduce the burden on my father by a lot as E.P.I. has taken it upon itself to take care of all my expenses in the university epi provided funds to pay for my face and also buy study materials to facilitate my studies in the university. And with this, I have been greatly motivated to do my very best to study harder to achieve my dreams.
Studies at school were also great until a student in my school tested positive for Covid19 in March 2020 which eventually led to the close down of all schools in the country. And as we were asked to stay home, the University decided to make the students continue their studies through online platforms, as the second semester was not completed before the pandemic struck the school. Although online schooling was not as good as actual schooling, it still helped us to complete the semester successfully.
As I stated before, I want to be a Software Engineer and here in this country where technological advancement is slow, I hope to be one of the people to change that. I want to change the notion that some indigenes of our country have, that we ourselves lack the ability to raise our own technological developments. I dream to set an Engineering firm in the future, where I will join Engineers who are already working in the country to solve problems relating to science and technology. This is to help reduce the rate at which the country goes for foreign Engineers to take over projects of the country. Since I joined EPI, I feel I have taken a step towards my dream as a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Being at home after the online exams also did not impede my learning process as I took it upon myself to study and practice subjects I am new to and also the ones learnt in the previous semesters in order to improve myself and prevent me from going rusty before school reopens as I hope to put in my all while I am in the University.
With this, I would like to once again thank Educational Pathways International for their immeasurable support for my education. My family and I, are very grateful to EPI.
Thank you.

Esi Afariwa Otoo is my name, a second year Mechanical Engineering student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I became a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship in my first year of entry into the university and since then every other experience has been tremendous.
In the year 2020, before my admission into the university, my family experienced some serious financial hardships. Getting a scholarship in the university was that one thing that could keep my hopes and dreams alive. Being a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International scholarship has made a very big difference in my education and academics. Instead of taking up part time jobs to earn some income, the money that I receive from the EPI scholarship is more than enough to cover my tuition, accommodation, books and stipend. EPI family does not only concern itself with the academic needs of its beneficiaries, but our well-being and development.
With the various training programs and training sessions organized for us, I am being equipped with business, leadership, managerial skills for the work ahead in the future. I had the opportunity to intern with the Ghana Water Company Limited Headworks at Kwanyako a small town in the central region of Ghana. I’ve learnt a whole lot of things and had a lot of experience in relation to my field of engineering.
As the world is advancing now, the field responsible for civilization, industrialization and development is engineering. As a young lady with passion, I have had inspiration in a variety of things and studying Mechanical Engineering has been one of the top most. It is said that nothing moves without a mechanical engineer. This field of engineering is known and seen to be very broad and versatile. Being one of the oldest fields of engineering, it brings up a lot of diversity. With jobs growing increasingly scarce, to make a successful career in the field of engineering, one does not only require technical competence but that of other necessary skills are needed and those are one of the many skills EPI impacts in their beneficiaries.
My professional and career goal is to be involved in the management and operations of a leading engineering firm in the country in the capacity as an operation or a project manager. In the next three years, I plan to have completed my undergraduate studies and looking forward to develop my aptitude towards business and leadership skills. With a keen eye towards building myself and reaching my career goals, I plan to intern with leading organizations. After graduating, I will involve myself in a one-year national service to the nation. I will work efficiently and effectively to increase the level of production at the workplace. I try to connect my passion for education with my desire to help others. I plan to partake in several volunteering activities and outreach programs as well. Since the field of engineering is male dominated, I plan to use the influence I would obtain as a female, to help motivate more young girls to venture into the field. In the future, I plan to contribute a percentage of my salary to the Educational Pathways International scholarship program to help provide for other gifted students as well.
I am very grateful for the opportunity Educational Pathways International has given me. I hope this family will grow bigger to reach many more people who need the support.

Growing up to be a responsible and impactful individual in my society has always been my dream and Educational Pathways International (EPI) has provided the opportunity for me to become a better person well positioned to make my dream a reality. My name is Awal Mohammed Muhsin, a student of University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana, offering Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science. I am in the 5th year.
I was accepted into the Educational Pathways International Scholarship program. To even begin to estimate the positive impact of the program in my academic and personal life will be an understatement. Before the scholarship program, I used to live off campus. Living off campus always made me late for lectures and I was always tired because of the distance. Due to the scholarship program, I was able to move into a private hostel on campus. After moving into campus, I have never been late for a lecture and I am always sharp during lectures. My personal studies have seen massive improvements which has given me better understanding of what is being taught in class.
Within the course of the year, I took in part in the maiden edition of the Megalpteri Physicus organized within my department to determine the scientist of the year which I won the first position. I was also appointed as the Secretary of the Electoral Commission in my department. I took part in some extracurricular activities and captained my class football team to win its first football trophy at the Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science departmental games.
My passion in life has always been assisting people and trying to bring happiness and positive change into the lives of others. I therefore decided to pursue a career in Medical Laboratory Science since it will provide me the opportunity to help improve the health conditions of individuals and learn about the medical needs of individuals, families and communities at large. After completion of my studies, I plan to practice as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and I intend to add my knowledge to the hepatitis research field. The development of Ghana starts within her communities. I am privileged and lucky to find myself in the Choggu Yapalsi community in the northern part of Ghana where I feel I can help develop by providing initiatives.
After graduation, I shall like to enable provide tuition for the younger generation in Choggu Yapalsi and if possible create a community trust fund with the help of community members that will cater for the educational needs of these young children should the need arise so that, they will be able to attain education to the highest level and impact significantly in Choggu Yapalsi and contribute to the future development of Ghana.
I am grateful to have this opportunity that Educational Pathways International is providing to students like me who are constantly fighting for the right to receive an education and become successful. My appreciation goes to Educational Pathways International for their generosity and assistance. Their generosity and assistance will not only help me realize my dreams of one day having a successful career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist but will also in the near future enable me help countless families, individuals and communities get the healthcare and treatment they need, giving these set of people the best chance at finding their own success.
I feel blessed and grateful to have an opportunity like this that enables me to be a catalyst for positive change in Ghana and the world at large. I am truly grateful to Educational Pathways International and I am hopeful of building a long lasting and fruitful relationship with them. Thank you.

My name is Patrick Atule Ayibire. I am in the fourth year. A student of the University For Development Studies (UDS). I am offering Doctor of Pharmacy. Educational Pathways International (EPI) has been a blessing not to only me but my family as well by awarding me with a comprehensive scholarship. EPI organizes training and seminar sessions for its beneficiaries which touches on all aspect of life in school and out of school which has instilled time consciousness, financial management, entrepreneurial skills, innovativeness and confidence in me that I can achieve anything in life through discipline, hard work, dedication, determination and God-fearing in spite of my background or social standing and these have reflected in my performance in my academic and social work.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19, some businesses have been struggling to stand and have affected the petty trading of my mother. I could not have imagine my life without EPI in this critical times. After paying my school and accommodation fees, an amount was given to my mother to help her in her petty trading business.
The outbreak of Covid-19 have shown the pivotal role of pharmacist and pharmaceutical company in the health and wellness of every individual and the world as a whole. This has inspired me to enter into drug research extensively.
Ghana, for that matter Africa enriched in medicinal plants and minerals with the knowledge and skill of drug research could lead to the potential drug candidate for the treatment and cure of various illnesses and diseases which are now at affordable prices to increase access to treatment.
One core interest of the EPI is giving back to the society, the community and the nation as a whole of the transformation one has received and my colleagues and I embarked on “Safe and Effective use of medication” campaign where people were educated on the dangers of self-medication and how to access proper healthcare. We also used the opportunity to address the issues of tramadol abuse among some of the youth in our area.
Again, we also use the opportunity to talk about how to practice the Covid-19 safety protocol and talked on certain diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and others. These people are often not accepted in the society because of some misconceptions the society holds about these diseases and we were able to clear most of these misconceptions.
I hope to graduate with first class honours and further my education in Pharmaceutical Research and Drug discovery and subsequently establishing a big pharmaceutical company to serve Ghana, African and the world as a whole.
Finally, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to Educational Pathways International for assisting me achieve my academic dreams and ambitions and for enabling me cater for my family financially in these critical times. I say God continue to bless the Educational Pathways International.
Thank you.

Patrick Ayibire is my name. I am a third year student at the University for Development Studies (UDS). I am studying Doctor of Pharmacy. Educational Pathways International (EPI) has brought relief to me and my family by lifting the financial burden off our shoulders. Through training and lecturing sessions organized by EPI for its beneficiaries has instill time consciousness, financial management , entrepreneurial skills and confidence in me that I can achieve anything in life in spite of my background or social standing and these have reflected in my improved performance in my academic work and social interaction with other people.
During the first outbreak of the Covid-19, all educational institution were closed down and the institutions resorted to online lectures where I needed some amount of money for airtime and data for daily online lectures, with EPI financial package that was taken care of and I even used part of the package to support my family since the pandemic affected petty trading since trading in the various markets were done on shift basis.
Growing up in Bolgatanga, east of the Upper East Region of Ghana, where the natives resort completely to herbs, root and traditional methods of treatment of various kinds of diseases, this gradually inculcated in me the love for medicinal products and the joy to see people healthy again through these products was the motivation that made me admire the Pharmacy profession right from my basic educational level and even made me read General Science in the Senior High School level and subsequently gaining admission to read Doctor of Pharmacy at the University for Development Studies, Ghana.
I would like to further my education in Pharmacy Research and Pharmacology after completion of the Doctor of Pharmacy programme. Ghana like other countries such as India, Indonesia etc. is blessed with various medicinal plants whose leaves, root and bark contain various medicinal compound such as alkaloids, glycosides, terpenes etc. which can be extracted naturally or semi-synthesized to be used for the treatment of various diseases. With the knowledge and skills from the Pharmacy School, the extraction of the medicinal components from these substances would be used to synthesize drugs locally which would reduce the importation of most drugs from other countries which are often very expensive for the ordinary Ghanaian to afford and since about 70% of Healthcare has to do with drugs this would go a long way to improve healthcare delivery nationwide.
One core interest of EPI is giving back to the society, the community or the nation as a whole of the transformation one has received and I would like to embark on “Safe and Effective use of medication” campaign where the native would be enlightened on the danger of self-medication and the negative effects of not complying to health workers directives of medicine intake and drug-resistance often caused by incomplete dose intake and overuse of medications.
Again, I would embark on free screening exercise for the people of Bolgatanga East and subsequently other parts of the country with the help of other healthcare professionals such as Doctor, Nurses, and Nutritionist etc. We would take that opportunity to educate the people on certain obsolete beliefs they still hold, such as HIV/AIDS is punishment for unfaithfulness, cerebral palsy and parkinson disease all punishment from the gods etc.
And also enlightened the people on the various methods that are available to prevent pregnancy and STIs, their benefits and side effects and also advised them to opt for the one that best suit them since teenage pregnancy and lack of family planning are very prevalent in these areas.
Finally, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to Educational Pathways International for assisting me achieved my academic dreams and ambitions and for enabling me cater for my family financially during this pandemic. I say God continue to bless the Educational Pathways International.
Thank you.

To commence with, I am Joshua Anzagra Dery, a student of the University for Development Studies (UDS) in the Northern Region of Ghana. I am currently in my final year of a six-year Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science. It is said that a journey of thousand miles begins with a step. I took that bold step six years ago when I decided to go to the university despite my financial situation at home. I knew this was the boldest step I could ever take knowing so well the struggle I put myself and my parents through. Before I started my six years’ journey, I seemed to be thorn between the devil and the deep blue see. After the decision was made to further my education, not too long after that I met my first hurdle. I was at the edge of calling it quit until the timely intervention of Educational Pathways International (EPI) and showed me light at the end of the tunnel.
Growing up as a young boy, my parents inculcated in me very enviable values; hard work, diligence and perseverance to say the least. I knew my roots and I understood perfectly the need to excel. When I got enrolled on the EPI scholarship program, I knew that all my burdens had been lifted off and taken away from me. This was because I started my tertiary education on a shaky note, with so much to think of and worry about, to say the least. EPI was my hope when I thought all hope was lost. They gave me a comprehensive scholarship. At that point I felt that I had no other burden in the world and that I was free to soar so high like an eagle. An enormous burden had been lifted from the shoulders of my parents.
I have also been a very active student leader. I am currently the Student Representative Council (SRC) Deputy Secretary, UDS. Also, I am the secretary of the beneficiaries of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship in my university. In addition, I served as Vice President for Pax Romana Choir and Legio Mariae at the University for Development Studies (UDS). As part of my academic achievement, I represented my class in an inter-departmental quiz competition and emerged as the winner. With the assistance from EPI through the organization of seminars, I have been able to achieve all these as extra curriculum activities aside my academic work.
I want to express my profound gratitude to Educational Pathways International (EPI). They always keep me on my toes and make me very focused on my studies. This has helped me excel in every field I find myself in.
I chose my programme of study because I realized due to sheer ignorance and unavailability of clinics, testing centers and the inability to properly diagnose diseases, the people of my community were dying of easily preventable and curable diseases. I can boldly say that my dream of giving back to my society is almost accomplished, with all thanks to the Almighty God and to EPI. In view of this, I plan to set up several diagnostic centers in my community to not only help to properly diagnose and treat diseases, but to also educate them on the need to make their health a priority and maintain basic personal hygiene. I am strongly in agreement with the quote, “Making one person smile can change the world. Maybe not the whole world but their world” and to me that is very important.
I want to express my deepest thanks to Educational Pathways International and remain appreciative for the support I received throughout my university education. I will never forget your support and kindness. I am eternally grateful. Thank you.

Thankfully schools reopened for the new academic year in January 2021 and since then, school has returned to normal. We have returned to our classroom lectures and interaction with other students. As a second year Optometry student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana who hails from a humble home, being a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme since the 2020/2021 academic year is one of the ecstatic experiences of my life. My name is Blessina Osei Quansah.
My father being a retired Teacher for three years now and my mother being a petty hawker of clothes with low income, both could not afford to bring me to the university right after secondary school, thus compelling me to work as a teacher for a year to raise money for my forms for school, leaving a meagre amount. This is why it was a blessing to be a beneficiary of EPI.
As a beneficiary of EPI, I am afforded the luxury of gaining field experience in optometry, through the push the program gives me to embark on internship during long vacations, through which I get to build a network with experienced Optometrist who are willing to mentor me into being the Optometrist I dream of.
As a result of this, my passion of taking quality eye care services to the less privileged in the rural parts of Ghana with the skills I am acquiring is being massively fueled. I also have the hope of being able to build a team in future to help out with my quest of serving rural communities with sound eye care services through the leadership training sections I take at our monthly EPI meetings.
For the above privileges and a grateful heart, I, Blessina Osei Quansah, I am forever in the debt of the Educational Pathways International Scholarship Programme.

Abiba Adams is my name. I am a third year student offering Doctor of Pharmacy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, West Africa.

I became part of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) family in 2019 and I have never been happier and fulfilled. EPI has placed me closer to achieving my goal of becoming Clinical Specialist Pharmacist. EPI has given a comprehensive scholarship which has helped me focus on my academics and excelling in it as well. EPI has helped built my self- confidence which I had lost over the years. I have learnt to open up more due to trusted and welcoming Program Director that EPI has.

I have now gained enough confidence to step out of my comfort zone and have now joined committees and part-take in competitions and webinars which I did not used to do.
The Educational Pathway International family meet almost every month in order to learn new things and be prepared for the world ahead. This is also the period during which our Program Director checks up on us and also listens to any problems we may be having.
The annual luncheon organized by EPI serves as a nice period for us to socialize and release stress after a long academic year mostly as a Doctor of Pharmacy student.

I wanted to become a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist because I wanted to help the sick and I was also very curious about how drugs work. Due to how the Doctor of Pharmacy programme has been structured it has become more patient-centered and the interaction between the Pharmacist and patient has increased tremendously, which is what I really love about this new structure.

It has always been my dream to help others, just like how I have been helped through every step of my academic journey. I would want to set up pharmacies to provide a helping hand to young people with dreams in my community.

Educational Pathways International would always be part of my success story for the helping hand I've been provided, financially, socially and emotionally. I am grateful to Educational Pathways International for giving me hope for a better future. I am very thankful and may the good Lord bless your good deeds.

My name is Josephine Acquah, a second year student offering Bachelor of Science in Nursing (General Nursing) at the University of Ghana in Accra - Ghana.
I am very enlightened to be a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI). It has removed all the financial burdens on my parents. I joined Educational Pathways International (EPI) in 2021, before joining I wondered how life would be without a scholarship. I am from a home of five siblings. After my high school, I resolved to work to save some money because it was always my dream to pursue a tertiary education. The money saved was not enough to cater for my academic fees and other needs. Getting admission into the premier University of Ghana, (Legon) to study a programme I have passion in and dreamt about since childhood is a glorious one. However, my parents were not in a financial position to pay my fees. That was before Educational Pathways International (EPI) awarded me the scholarship. Educational Pathways International awarded me with a comprehensive scholarship.
It is a great opportunity ever in my lifetime and the best scholarship programme in the University. We have a good Country Director (Madam Eunice) who meets with us semester basis and tutors us on very important topics which help us in the area of educational, personal, social and life skills. We also had the opportunity to familiarize with the founders of the scholarship scheme and encourage us in our academics.
I chose to study BSc. Nursing in order to provide quality health care to people and to save human life. The rise in diseases and other worst climatic conditions has place human existence at stakes. My great qualification to practice as a Nurse will help me work with other health teams to investigate, analyze and bring solutions to the increasing health problems. This will promote nation development.
Upon graduation with my first degree program, I will serve the country through National Service. Working at the Clinical setting is my priority to care for patients and identify life threatening condition for research. After this, I will further to do Master in Nursing. This will be of great benefit to myself, the community and the nation at large.
Educational Pathways International (EPI) has thought me the need to give back to community, I will make sure their resources invested in me become a blessing to others. In collaboration with health professionals, I will build clinics in communities which need health facilities. This will provide quality health care to people in deprived communities. I will also provide educational and entrepreneurial support to the youth who are talented and needy as you have also helped me.
God richly bless our founders of Educational Pathways International and all others who contribute to the smooth running of Educational Pathways International (EPI).
Long live Ghana. Long live Educational Pathways International.

My name is Danzi Declerk Boodba, a final year student offering Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana. The saying ‘Education is the key to success’ is something I heard at a young age from basic level and since then I said to myself that I will have to take my education seriously to help me become successful. Our God works in a miraculous and mysterious ways and sometimes through using others, mine happens in 2018 when I got to know of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship opportunities. EPI awarded me a comprehensive scholarship after a serious interview as the scholarship is a competitive one that recognizes, supports and empowers gifted and brilliant students from families of need in their educational. EPI has actually impacted, molded and transformed my life and academics alongside other aspects of my potentials.
In my academics and life, EPI through its general meetings lessons and recently on public speaking has helped me greatly in the first part of my Project Proposal topic defense. I was able to make the presentation with courage and confidence and this help me defend my project proposal with ease. Other life and corporate lessons that we have been taken through by EPI has actually made me a wholistic person and this will greatly help me as I will finish school soon and go to the corporate world. This will as well help me in my final project/thesis defense as well as helps me package myself well as I proceed in life. Also, EPI has made learning and studies more comfortable since I joined. This is because, my basic necessities (school fees, accommodation, feeding, books) as a student have been provided for as a scholar of EPI hence creating an enabling and conducive environment for me as a student in the course of accomplishing my goals.
I chose to offer Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science because it provides clues that are key in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of diseases or injuries as well as gives clues which helps in the maintenance of healthy lifestyle. It also comprises of several disciplines which offers students the opportunity of specializing in one of the disciplines. After completion, I will work diligently and very hard to provide quality health care to people devoid of ethnicity and religious affiliation at my working place in the country or where I will be posted. Also, in collaboration with fellow health personnel, will occasionally be organizing health sensitization programs to educate people on health-related issues and practices that will promote healthy living as well medical check-ups and screening in my community and the country as a whole.
I am very grateful to Educational Pathways International (EPI) for their enormous support by impacting, moulding and transforming my life and that of my family and also for giving me the strength to keep pushing for my long-term dream.

Educational Pathways International (EPI) is a non-profit Organization that recognizes, supports and empowers gifted and brilliant students from families of need in their educational needs and I Declerk Booba Danzi, a fifth year student offering Doctor of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale in the northern region of Ghana. I am very happy and grateful for been part of this great and noble family. Life had hit me hard at a tender age after the loss of both parents at that early age and my educational dreams, ambitions then were almost gone but with our most High and continual love and the little support by my stepfamily I managed to finished basic school, high school and gained admission into the university where life became very hard in terms of educational needs till finally Educational Pathways International surface and awarded me a comprehensive scholarship which I applied for and since then has really impacted, molded and transformed my life and academics alongside other areas of my potentials and talents.
In my life and academics, EPI has provided me with a conducive and an enabling environment required by every student in accomplishing their short-term and long-term educational goals. Why do I say this? This is because things like, school fees, accommodation fees, stipend for books, food, clothes are all part of the package students enjoy under EPI scholarship. These things are the basic necessity to the success of every student in school and I am glad to be part of students under this package. Also, EPI scholarship program provides its scholars with a form of positive control check that keeps us on track whenever one is going out of track academically and other area of our lives. Again, on every general meetings of EPI, we are taught topics such as report writing, five skills employers look at, writing of curriculum vitae (CV) among other interesting topics which most probably won’t be taught in our usual classroom studies. This helps me to package myself well as I proceed in life.
However, the emergence of the global pandemic called corona virus or better still covid-19 last year had really taken a toll our academics and life since schools were closed down as part of the measures the government took in combating the global pandemic covid-19 making us go home from school for a long period. This caused the authorities of the school to resort to some drastic measures such as online lectures, studies and online exams to be used to complete the remaining trimester while at home as students left school in the middle of the second trimester. These measures are all electronic based making it difficult for the online lectures, studies and exams as one will have to buy data bundle for electronic gadget to be able to accessed the online lectures, studies and exams and sometimes the network for connectivity was very bad due to area of residence because of poor network connectivity. These affected me a lot as I was mostly unable to accessed lectures and studies online and even late submission of online exams work. I am glad that we are back in school since January, 2021 and lectures, exams and other academic work are all done in person in my school.
Doctor of Medical Laboratory Sciences as a health programme helps deliver services in prognosis, diagnosis of disease conditions and also offers a wide range of opportunities for students after completion. Students after completion have the opportunity to specialize in various fields like chemical pathology, haematology, virology, bacteriology, researching and so on. As a health programme and after completion, I will work diligently and very hard to improve upon the health status of people at where I will be posted. Also, in collaboration with fellow health personnel, organizing medical check-ups and health screening for my community occasionally to brief and alert them on their health life and how to practice precautionary and preventives measures to help curb illness like malaria, cholera and other sicknesses is what I intend to do.
I forever remain thankful to the sponsors of EPI for their unmeasurable aid in impacting, moulding and transforming my life and that of my family and for the strength in striving towards my long-term dream.

Zingsong Zabbai Ompuo is my name, I am currently a second-year student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana and I am well on my way to obtaining my bachelor’s Degree in BSc. Business Administration (Accounting/Banking and Finance). I am only able to say this because of the love God has shown me through the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship programme. My educational life and my future as a matter of fact, have both become much brighter ever since I was awarded scholarship into the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme. This is owing to the peace of mind that comes with knowing that my school fees and other expenses have been covered and all I need to do is to ensure that I continue to study and bring out the best in me.
Since joining the EPI family, the beneficiaries have been taken through various workshops and career training programs to equip us with the necessary knowledge and skills to not just survive but thrive in the industry, corporations or institutions we find ourselves after our studies. Through these programs I have acquired leadership skills, time management skills and most importantly for me; interpersonal skills which are a necessity in every institution. This goes to show just how much EPI is dedicated to shaping tomorrow’s leaders today. I was also able to intern at the Wa Municipal Hospital (Accounts Unit) in the northern part of Ghana during our last holidays through the recommendation of EPI. I acquired real life experience of the industry I aspire to be in.
I opted for Accounting/Banking and Finance as my programme of study not because of some grand revelation but because of one simple yet very serious reason, that is, to help the people of my community. I know you might be wondering what one could possibly do to help a whole community with knowledge in Accounting/Banking and Finance. Well allow me to enlighten you a bit. The people of my community are largely employed in the agricultural sector but like most Ghanaian farmers, they lack essential knowledge about available funding opportunities, insurance policies for their machines, warehouses and produce. Most of them don’t even know what a mortgage is. It is my goal in life to be their pipeline to these resources which are paramount to improving their way of life. I would be in the position to sensitize them about available grants, subsidies, scholarships for their wards, loans, insurance policies that would best suit their needs. Also, thanks of the leadership training I am undergoing under EPI’s guidance, I will be in a better position to lead them to lobby for social amenities like better road network to our farms which will go a long way to mitigate our post-harvest losses.
All my dreams were once lofty aspiration, but they are now goals which are well within my reach due to the great opportunity given to me by Educational Pathways International (EPI) and for that I am eternally grateful. As great power comes with great responsibility, I will do my best not to waste the chance that has been given to me. Thank you, EPI and may the grace of God always find you.

Today it is all about Educational Pathways International (EPI) which is one of the outstanding and impactful organizations I have known and their hardworking and non-disappointing beneficiaries.
My name is Alhassan Abdul-Majeed, a third year student at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Nyankpala campus located in the northern region of Ghana. I am a native of Gbulahagu which is a community under the Tolon district in the Northern region of Ghana. As a concerned citizen of Gbulahagu community, it has come to my notice over the years that poverty has become the persistent outcry among my people. I realized that the source of the problem was lack of education on agriculture since almost the whole population of the community are subsistence farmers. Being born and raised in such a community and being privilege to witness and go through all the above mentioned challenges, I was internally motivated to acquire knowledge in agriculture and this accounts for my interest in agricultural engineering and advocating for the need of facilities and education at my village after gaining the required skills and knowledge as a graduate and a licensed Engineer.
Peace and hope has been restored in many homes, towns and villages through EPI sponsorship hence enabling its beneficiaries to approach life in a better and a more excellent way. My desire to study and learn new things keep increasing daily because of my exposure to several learning materials, educative programs, and mentorship sessions being organized by EPI.
I am motivated not just to graduate successfully with a first class degree in Engineering but to go high in academia even up to the level of PhD in Engineering and this will imply that the quality of life of the human race in our various societies and beyond will take a high stand of improvement. My great appreciation and thanks goes to Educational Pathways International for personalizing the responsibility of transforming lives in our generation and I must say that EPI is worthy to constantly be celebrated in every place that life exist. Thank you.

My name is Waliba Liyajabale Thomas and I am a final year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, pursuing BSc. Geomatic Engineering.
I have been a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship for the past three years. And I can proudly say that I owe my Tertiary Education to EPI, through whose benevolence I have received all the resources I needed for a successful tertiary education. Ranging from financial support to seminars, educational talks, training sessions, luncheons and other social benefits.
I would like to express my profound gratitude to EPI for this great opportunity granted me, the EPI scholarship has catered for all my needs and giving me the room to concentrated solely on my academics. Through this opportunity offered me by EPI, I have increased progressively in my academic performances. I can boldly say that through the influence of EPI I have improved upon my performances every semester and academic year to stages I never thought were possible all thanks to EPI.
Growing up in a Village in Ghana- a developing country, were land is the only resource believed to belong to the dead, living and the unborn and as such must be protected and bequeathed to the yet unborn, this often results in conflicts between families, clans and tribes and to some extent resulting into generational conflicts due to ownership, boundary demarcations and land rights. I chose to pursue Geomatic Engineering with the aim of contributing to mitigating this old canker that has bedevilled my people in years past. Through legal surveys of property boundaries, land managements and planning which will engage all parties that have interest in the land to find a legal, appropriate and peaceful way of resolving land disputes instead of generational conflicts.
I would like to practice my profession as a Geomatic Engineer. As such I would proceed after completion to become a member of the Professional Bodies which are the Ghana Institute of Engineers (GhIE) and Ghana Institute of Surveyors (GhIS) so that I can establish my own firm as a private Consultant in Geomatic Engineering. Through this, I can give back to my community and country through the services I would render to my clients and the human resources I would employ in my firm. And also offer opportunity to students to do industrial attachments and National Service.
I can not be thankful enough, for I have come this far by the grace of God and the support of the EPI. Therefore, on behalf of my entire family and on my own behalf, I say thank you very much from my heart, indeed EPI is touching many lives of which I am a testimony. I will on my part, make sure that the support I have received from EPI, will have a ripple effect on the people around me and my country Ghana, Once again Thank you very much EPI for this wonderful opportunity.

I am Gabriel Edudzi Banini, a 5th-year Medical student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of
Science and Technology (KNUST). Three years ago, I took a scholarship application to the
scholarship office on campus and guess what, the secretary refused to accept my application.
It was actually my fault because I had missed the deadline by an hour. My next option was to
get a student loan or a campus job, both of which come with lots of disadvantages. As I was
making my way out of the office, feeling very disappointed, I met a friend at the entrance
who told me about Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program. I
downloaded the form as soon as I got to my hostel, filled it, and submitted it to the office the next day. To cut the story short, I was among the few privileged students to be selected for the EPI scholarship.
Right from childhood, I’ve always loved science and I see science as a medium to help
people and by getting admission into Medical School, my dream of using science to help
people is gradually becoming a reality. One way I plan to do this is by setting up a mobile
clinic network in the future that will operate mainly within rural communities.
I must admit Medical School would have been very difficult for me if I hadn’t met EPI.
Before I joined EPI, I used to worry a lot about my education and the future, so getting this
scholarship has been of great help to me, and it has given me the peace of mind I need to
study. The Covid-19 pandemic affected my parents financially but with the help of EPI, I’m
still in school with no worries and studying very hard for my end-of-rotation exams which I’ll be taking in two weeks’ time.
Being in EPI is not just about the financial aid, there’s so much more. I’ve personally learnt
so much about social issues and personal development through our monthly meetings with
Aunty Eunice, I get to meet and interact with other beneficiaries of EPI. Now I can say for a
fact that my problem-solving skills and confidence level have improved significantly. She has also taught me a lot about savings and good investment strategies. Our end-of-semester get-together party is something I always look forward to. This is where we get to meet and interact with our benefactors from the USA and also interact with other beneficiaries of EPI as well. Through this, I’ve made a lot of good friends. And of course, there’s always a lot of delicious food to eat!
By the grace of God, I will graduate next year. I can never be thankful enough to EPI for all
the support, I will forever be grateful to EPI for restoring my hope when I needed it the most.
The future looks bright and it’s all thanks to EPI!

I am in the person of Gideon Kwofie, a second year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. I am a young man full of dreams and aspirations, always imagining being great Electrical Engineer helping many unfortunate people in my community and the world at large. This passion has always gingered me to give out my best in academics in order to make this dream realistic one.
Right after high school, I gained admission to pursue my dream program at the university I had loved to attend. However, this vision started fading away due to financial constraints faced by my parents. There was then no hope for me for achieving my dreams. My dreams were shattered. Fortunately for me, I heard of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship scheme and I applied for it. I successfully became a beneficiary of this scholarship which rekindled all the hopes that were almost dead.
It is exactly two years now I have been in this scholarship scheme and I have never regretted for being a beneficiary. The scholarship is a comprehensive one that covers all my university education expenses. It also takes care of my accommodation fees and even some stipend. As a result, I do not have financial challenge for my education.
Educational Pathways International scholarship package did not only provide monetary help for my academics. We are taken through Life transforming programs and seminars which has really helped me. Some of these seminars centered on time management, communication skills both at school and in the corporate world and many others. Also, we learn other educational and job-oriented skills which has also been of great help. For instance, learning how to prepare Curriculum Vitae, among others.
EPI has really transformed my life and I really appreciate all persons who spend their resource in one way or the other to make this scholarship package always running each year. I am very grateful for this scholarship program helping many young men and women to achieve their goals in life. It is my prayer that the Almighty God bless each and every one who is involved in ensuring the smooth running of the scholarship scheme.

I am Kwofie Gideon, a first year BSc. Electrical/Electronic Engineering student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana. I am nineteen years.

Life was quite tough when the joy I had upon gaining admission to the university was short-lived. “What money am I going to use for my school fees”? The whole world became a tunnel in the midnight of a solar eclipse for me, but in the midst of this came from within a sequel to this dreadful and dream shattering tunnel; a light of joy threw into my path by Educational Pathways International (EPI). I didn’t know how to control my joy when such a miracle happened.

At the onset of this financial constraints faced by my parents, I thought my vision of becoming a professional Electrical and Electronic Engineer and the world’s popular inventor (the underlining reason for my choice of program of study) has come to an abrupt end. Thanks be to God and Educational Pathways International that this great vision of mine didn’t fade into thin air.

All my visions and ambitions in life have revived. I can now mold my life to suit my ambitions. I now have the desire to learn and my academic performance has improved in the sense that I don’t have to think about financial difficulties again.

The numerous lives benefiting topics EPI secretariat has taken us through alone is amazing. I have really learned much from the meetings they organized for us.

Now that my dreams are coming into reality, I have thought of means to also impact the lives of others who are also in need. I deem it a great pleasure to be supporting my community on the basis of helping other children who are climbing the academic ladder by offering a free class for those who would be of need. I also plan of organizing a seminar on principles of academic excellence in my local church for people to realize the need to excel academically.

With my current program of study, I also want to work hard and bring out many forms of producing cheap, reliable and pollution free electrical energy. Ghana, my country has a lot of raw materials and it is my plan that I help build sophisticated machines to help the processing of our raw materials.

I really appreciate Educational Pathways International for the light they have shown me. My visions and dreams would have always been in the dreamland but today, because of the sponsorship of EPI, they are coming into reality. May the Almighty God bless you, multiply your income and enlarge your territory.

My name is Abdul Baak Braimah. I am a third year student offering BSc. Biochemistry at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. I am a proud beneficiary of Educational Pathways International Scholarship (EPI). This scholarship has been of great benefit to me.
At first I had to engage myself in petty business before I could afford my academic fees. Even after managing to provide my academic fees, other basic needs such as accommodation, food, clothing and academic materials was a major challenge. I had to work whiles school was in session. This was preventing me from concentrating on my studies and I was not stable and comfortable in campus which was greatly affecting my academic performance.
Educational Pathways International (EPI) has offered me a full scholarship that covers my tuition and residential fees, academic materials and other basic needs. This has made my stay on campus very comfortable and to have full concentration on my studies without bothering about any financial problems. This has in turn resulted in tremendous improvement in my studies.
Growing up, I used to love science and admired people who apply scientific knowledge and skills to produce novel products into the system and this ignited my interest to offer BSc. Biochemistry at the tertiary level. Thanks to the Educational Pathways International scholarship, my dream of becoming an Industrial Biochemist is being realized. Even during this Covid-19 pandemic era where teaching and learning were carried out online, without EPI it wouldn’t have been possible for me to take part since I wouldn’t have been possessing the internet accessing devices such as laptops and smart mobile phones.
Finally, I would like to say a very big thank you to the Educational Pathways International for their kind support and the opportunity that they have given me to pursue my undergraduate degree in a financially stable conditions. Without their assistance, it would have been very difficult for me to go through my undergraduate education. May God richly bless all the executives, workers and donors of the Educational Pathways International scholarship who are working tirelessly and contributing to bring hope to the needy ones and putting smiles on our faces. Long live Educational Pathways International (EPI).

My name is Marfo Edmond, a final year student of the University of Ghana pursuing a BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
Educational Pathways International (EPI) has impacted positively in my life in so many ways but the foremost amongst them is the financial support I have been receiving. Anxieties over how to support myself through the university plagued me throughout my first year. The times that were occupied with worries became free after I was awarded the scholarship. I could now use the time to learn and engage in fruitful activities. Thanks to EPI, I have an assured security of completing school.
Besides the financial support, I have also been fortunate enough to receive life skills development training from our Prrogram Director, Aunty Eunice as well as the opportunity to socially bond with other beneficiaries within the university on once every month. This has afforded me some basic life skills such as emotional intelligence, how to relate with people from different backgrounds and believes and how to manage one’s time efficiently.
I have had a smooth ride through the years in school until COVID-19 befell us in the second semester of my third year. For a while, I experienced what looked to me like a pause. There was no clear direction on what to do or how the semester was going to end because the government had shut down schools to contain the spread of the COVID-19 disease. We spent ten months in the house and although I had missed the physical bond with my friends, we soon adjusted and connected through virtual platforms. Class sessions were held online and although it was challenging at first, I soon adapted to it and excelled greatly in the online exams that was held for that particular semester.
I have always been fascinated by the genes and the idea of working in the laboratory. These two passions fueled my interest in the current program I am pursuing in school. After my first degree, I have the plans of taking up a Master’s degree program in Molecular Biology all in hopes that I may become a Geneticist someday in the future.
As a social responsibility, I’d like to become a science educator for the young and upcoming youth in Ghana, in the footsteps of the American Science populist, Carl Sagan, I’d like to ignite the passions for science in the young ones.
To the sponsors and staff of EPI who have selflessly committed themselves to see me through my education and help me make it in life, I say thank you and the only way I can truly show my appreciation is to commit myself to studies and become what I want to be.

My name is Edmond Marfo a third year student at the University of Ghana. My love for health biology is something that has been with me for as long as I can remember. This informed my decision to take general science as a programme in high school which I successfully completed in 2014. My plan to continue my studies right after high school was however stalled due to my family’s finances. The income of my mother’s trade could barely sustain us so topping it with undergraduate education in Ghana’s premiere university was impossible then. As a result, I took three gap years to work and gather some money for undergraduate studies. In (July) 2017, I received an admission offer from the University of Ghana to pursue Medical Laboratory Sciences, a programme I really loved. Although I had received good news, I could only wonder how my family could foot the tuition fees for the four-year programme, cater for accommodation and money for upkeep.
I started my tertiary education in September 2017. The first fees were catered for by the savings I had and some loans my family obtained. The first semester was really tough as I struggled to settle subsequent bills and this made me anxious and affected my academics. So, when I saw the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship advertisement and applied, I was elated when I got accepted. I now get to enjoy a comprehensive scholarship for my university education. This has lessened my burden and afforded me the chance to expend my energy on achieving my goals.
Growing up in an area riddled with infections and other diseases where several of these conditions go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed due to high patronage of unlicensed herbalists, I saw first-hand the essence of modern laboratory logistics and techniques in quality healthcare delivery. With proper training in medical laboratory sciences, the diagnosis of infections becomes possible and this improves our chances in the fight against diseases. This is why I opted to pursue Medical Laboratory Science as a pivotal point in my career. This academic training coupled with the workshops and meetings by EPI that target professional development is the very foundation of my career path and will no doubt make me an excellent scientist.
After undergraduate studies, I plan on pursuing a master’s degree in molecular genetics. I will explore both local and international opportunities for postgraduate studies after graduation. As a developing country, Ghana is poorly represented in the arena of molecular genetics. With world class training, I will add up to the existing human resource to bolster our strength in combating diseases. I have also developed interest in science communication. I strongly believe science is our best shot at fighting the myriad problems humanity faces. I will harness social media platforms to educate people on matters of science especially on health-related issues.
All these would not have been probable had it not been for the generosity and vision of EPI. The assistance from EPI is going a long way to make my dreams and aspirations materialise. I am grateful to EPI without whom my hopes and dreams would have been far behind. I am glad I am part of this great family.

My name is Sarah Afari-Baidoo. I am a 4th year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
I was awarded a comprehensive scholarship from Educational Pathways International (EPI) in October 2019, and two years down the line, it has been very remarkable. Not only has EPI provided me with adequate financial support to pursue my dreams, it has also given me the sense of family and belonging.
School activities for the second semester was going on smoothly from January 2020, unfortunately, in March 2020 we were asked to go home due to the COVID 19 outbreak. This indeed disrupted not only academic life but both social and economic standings. The still checked Program Director checked on us frequently and admonished us to observe all the safety protocols. She further encouraged us to also educate others in our communities on the need to adhere to these protocols.
The COVID 19 period was indeed an interesting one for me because, I was able to learn outside the normal classroom setting. With time I became more conversant with the online meeting platforms, taking online exams and many other online academic activities.
I chose to offer Doctor of Pharmacy because of my desire to help the human race. The role of the Pharmacist in society is usually misconstrued by most people as a person who only sells drugs. However a 6-year training in the field equips one with the ability to help the medical team in optimizing patient centered care, it also provides the individual with knowledge in drug formulation and production, marketing and its recommendation.
After school, I would like to delve into all the fields of Pharmacy if given the chance to. However, the one of greatest interest to me is the clinical pharmacy sector, as it will help me interact more with the patients and thus help me achieve my goal of directly being involved in providing good health care for patients.
With that being said, I would want to use this opportunity to thank the entire EPI team for their dedication towards our growth and development as beneficiaries of this wonderful scholarship scheme.

I am Oscar Awindenaba Akanyeh, a final year student of the University of Ghana, Legon studying Economics and Insurance. Being a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI), I may say it’s a divine arrangement. EPI has made tremendous impact on my life. The financial support helps me to cater for all my academic and other needs on campus. This offers me the peace of mind and that improves my academic performance on regular basis. The target of maintaining a very good grade motivates me to work harder for academic success and this is transforming my life significantly. The various lessons given us make my University education complete. Even some of those lessons appear in our examination and that is mostly beneficial. Those lessons also guide us as to how to position ourselves strategically for a successful life after school. Some of those lessons include, goal setting, leadership skills, skills needed for the job market, effective CV writing and many more.

I would want to be an Insurance Practioneer and an Economist. The reason why I chose the programme that I am reading is because of who I want to be, the career stated above. And the reason why I chose such a career is that, Economics could be viewed as the bedrock of a country's development. Economics makes us understand that we are naturally not satisfied with our wants in the sense that resources are limited in supply as against our insatiable wants and desires. Economics therefore show us the best way possible to use these limited resources to meet our unlimited wants. This will possibly speed up the development of a country and I will like to be a part of this community of great thinkers.

Insurance on the other hand, and in its simplest form, is a monetary arrangement where a risk is transferred to another part for a fee. Most people are ignorant of this fact therefore retain a risk when retention might not possibly be the right technique to handle such risk. I want to be part of that community that educate people on how to identify a particular risk and the best way possible to deal with it. If risk is properly handled, the financial burden of the individual is eased and this to a larger extent reduces the adverse financial impact on the nation. That is who I want to be and that is what I want to do for the rest of my years on earth, despite the fact that there are so many things I would like to do for my community and mother Ghana at large.

But so long as good things are in exhaustive, I will like to find a way of making education interesting among students in the basic level. I have realised that basic students in the northern part of Ghana are gradually losing interest in education and that is not good for their community and the country. I will also avail myself in person and in financial support if possible when there is the need to embark on any developmental project in my community.

I will also make policy decisions which may be necessary for the growth of the Ghanaian economy. I will remain resolute to the needs of mother Ghana and expose any kind of evil behavior in the nation including corruption. I would therefore like to express my profound gratitude to the benefactors of the Educational Pathways International for setting a firm and strong foundation for me for a better future. I must end by saying that I will work so hard to ensure that all the resources expended on me as well as the efforts put in place to make me a better person are not wasted.

Thank you.

I am Oscar Awindenaba Akanyeh, a level 200 bachelor's of arts in Economics and Insurance student of the university of Ghana-Legon.
I am a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International(EPI) scholarship program.  I would like to deliberate on why I have chosen the course I am currently studying, how EpI is moulding me towards achieving academic success and goals and who I will be after school as well as what I would do for Mother Ghana and my community.
Firstly, There are bound to be scarcity of resources in every human society relative to wants and that there is an opportunity cost to every activity undertaken by humans. Economics therefore teaches us on how best we can use our limited resources to satisfy the unlimited wants. It therefore equips us with knowledge on how best and efficient to use our unlimited resources and which activity to undertake in order to derive the highest possible benefit. In this same human society, there are bound to be uncertainties some of which may have devastating effects. Through my study of Insurance, I would gain more knowledge to be able to appreciate the course, and to help people understand and also appreciate the need to make provisions for supervening events which may cause serious damages through an Insurance policy so that they would be indemnified in case of any loss.
I have ,therefore, chosen the course because I take interest in them and that there are available job opportunities.
Educational Pathways International(EPI) has offered me financial support.  EPI, pays my tuition fees, accommodation and feeding fees. This reduces the stress of having to worry about where my tuition fees as well as my accommodation and feeding fees would come from. It has also reduced the stress of having to come from home to school to have lectures. This support gives me freedom of mind to study and this has gradually improved my academic performance.
EPI organized series of lessons apart from the normal lectures to take us through the practical aspect of life. Some of  these lessons include, report writing, entrepreneurship, top five social skills employers need. It is our goals that we get employed in our respective fields of study, and these lessons expose me to real employment indicators.
We are also required to maintain a minimum of second class upper in order to maintain the scholarship through out our degree program. This keeps us alert and makes us set high targets for ourselves. By so achieving this, I would also in a way become the economist and Insurance policy analyst I so desire to be.
With all these benefits, I would like to congratulate, in a special way, the benefactors of Educational Pathways International for their generosity. I would also strive to be academically successful so that their sacrifices are not wasted. From this examplery life so exhibited by the benefactors of EPI, I would not hold back my support from that poor Ghanaian child who cannot  go to school because of lack of money as far as my ability may allow me.
Thank you.

My name is Haruna Abdul-Jalilu, a final year BSc. Pharmacy student of the University of Ghana. Having being on Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship for the last four years I can but only say it has always been a life-changing opportunity. I initially had my fears about getting rejected because from the village where I grew up and schooled we were always told we stand no chance at such opportunities if we knew no one. However, with encouragement from my mother and brothers, I explored and applied to Educational Pathways International (EPI) and after a rigorous, entirely transparent and unbiased selection process, I was one of the lucky few who was awarded a comprehensive scholarship. It was a dream-come-true for me.
Ever since I was taken into EPI family I have never for once felt that I am far away from home since EPl has made school home for us. At EPI, we are not just assisted financially but academically, socially and emotionally. We have been constituted into a big family of young individuals working to make the world around us a better place. Our Program Director has been a mother to all of us in diverse ways. Despite her very busy schedule around all 3 universities within EPI’s enclaves, she has always made time to be with us collectively and individually. This made the most impact on me during the covid-19 pandemic when we had to learn from home. Our Program Director and other beneficiaries called and sent messages regularly to make sure everything was alright and that I was keeping safe at home. At such uncertain times I could not have asked for more from anyone.
EPI made sure I dreamt and lived my dreams again at a time I could feel things falling apart. My hopes have been reestablished and goals rekindled and I will do anything within my power to make sure more children get the help they need wherever they are in my country and probably beyond. I want to be able to reach out to the brilliant and financially challenged children wherever they are. I want to be hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless, a smile on the face of the sad and a propelling force to the depressed. I simply want to be that reason no one ever comes close to giving up on their dreams.
Coupled with the above, I have also made a firm resolve to be one of the outstanding voices of health in Africa and beyond, my key goal being to reduce the number of preventable deaths in my community, Ghana, Africa and the world at large by a great percentage. The coming of covid-19 has poised me to put myself in such a position that, together with other like-minded people, we could one day foresee the next pandemic and prevent it. This I believe would be one of the best conceivable ways I can render my service to humanity.
Under the auspices of EPI, I have been able to successfully complete 5 internships with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and community pharmacies during the vacations and that has kept me ahead in the clinical and industrial practice. During the pandemic when I could not travel to or acquire an internship letter from the school, I quickly got in touch with our Director and in less than a week, I had got to be an intern at a teaching hospital. This kept me busy for the two extra months I stayed at home after our online examinations. As I write now, I have secured a two months internship spot with a reputable community pharmacy and it has been fun and educative so far serving as a first point of contact to several patients. It gives me a priceless opportunity to learn, unlearn and relearn a lot in preparations for my professional exams and work life ahead. It’s always all fun and memorable being a part of this family.
In conclusion, I thank the Benefactors, Donors of Educational Pathways International, the Program Director, staff of the Students Financial Aid Office at University of Ghana and everybody working for the sustenance of this great course. You have all in diverse ways been instrumental in making living testimonies out of hopeless situations for brilliant and financially challenged Ghanaian students.

I am Haruna Abdul-Jalilu, a third year BSc. Pharmacy student at the University of Ghana. Upon getting admission into the University Of Ghana after a successful completion of Senior High School with excellent results, my education was greatly threatened because of a lack of finance. My parents are old and so are literally living from hand to mouth from the peasant farming they are into. I therefore had to wait until they were able to raise money for my school fees or till a Good Samaritan came by and helped me out. This however did not stop the “desperate me” from exploring other avenues to further my education. Fortunately, I came across the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship and without hesitation I applied and after competitive interviews I was awarded the scholarship. Since then it has always been one memorable experience after the other with this family.
First of all this family completely turned my life around for the better. In giving me a comprehensive scholarship, my parents were relieved of the burden of having to toil and borrow to fund my education. I must also add that it was under this life changing scholarship program that I got to own my first ever laptop computer. I no longer have to depend on friends to have my assignments typed or to do research on the internet. The scholarship also enabled me to pay for my accommodation in one of the best halls of residence on campus and that has greatly relieved me of the headache of having to travel several kilometers to school and back.
Moreover, ever since I was taken into the family I have never for once felt I was hundreds of kilometers away from home since EPl has made school home for us. At EPI, we are not just assisted financially but academically, socially and emotionally. Our Program Director has been a mother to all of us in so many different ways. Despite her very busy schedule, she has always made time to be with us collectively and individually. We have been constituted into a big family of young individuals working to make the world around us a better place.
With EPI, my future rests on solid grounds and I intend making the best of this invaluable opportunity. My hopes have been reestablished and goals rekindled and I will do anything within my power to make sure many more children get the help they need wherever they are in my country and probably beyond. I want to be able to reach out to the brilliant but financially challenged child wherever they are. I want to be hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless, a smile on the face of the sad and a propelling force to the depressed.

Coupled with the above, I have also made a firm resolve to be one of the outstanding voices of health in Africa and beyond, my key goal being to reduce the number of preventable deaths in my community, Ghana, Africa and the world at large by a great percentage. Under the auspices of EPI, I have started internships with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and community pharmacies during the vacations and that has kept me ahead in the clinical practice. My key goal in life has always been to put myself in the best position to serve humanity in the best way possible and every step I take each day is geared towards achieving that goal.

My name is Francis Okyere. I am a third-year medical student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.
Not so long ago, I used to be worried by the thought of not being able to complete school and hence unable to achieve my goals due to financial challenges from my family. It was one of my greatest fears until my attention was drawn to an announcement made by the above-mentioned school, of a scholarship opportunity from Educational Pathways International (EPI) for brilliant and needy students. I applied in September 2019 and fortunately I was granted a full scholarship, in October 2019, to continue with my untiring studies without having to worry about the financial needs.
Now, I have a true sense of peace – an inner peace, and utmost concentration on my academics and I literally have fun studying! I have also been more inspired in my field of study. I chose to do medicine because I just cannot see myself doing any other thing or job. Medicine itself is an inspiration to me: hearing the word ‘medicine’, seeing patients getting well, seeing anatomical diagrams, hearing the name of drugs, and even the smell of a hospital! I am literally in love with medicine. After my 6-year medical schooling, I will proceed to have a 2-year housemanship here in Ghana after which I intend furthering my education to specialise as a Neurosurgeon.
A concentrated mind, they say, cannot be distracted. I believe in this, and I owe it to EPI. I had utmost concentration on my studies until we all had a temporary distraction from the pandemic. But that notwithstanding, appropriate measures have been put in place by the appropriate authorities and now we are back to school, fully energised, and passionate about our studies. The pandemic negatively affected our country economically so things were tough for most parents with the resumption of school because of the payment of fees of their wards. But once again, thanks to EPI, parents of beneficiaries of EPI had no such worries and therefore we also had peace coming back to school. Returning back to school, we’ve met our mates at school who encourage and bring out the best in us once again and we’re happy to be in their company once more.
I am so grateful to Educational Pathways International for such a great honour. ‘Thank you’ are two small words but have a deeper meaning. I want to seize this opportunity to say ‘Thank you’ to EPI and long live this family!

More often than not I used to be ‘haunted’ by the thought of not being able to complete school and hence unable to achieve my goals because of financial constraint. It was one of my greatest fears until I heard the above-mentioned school make an announcement of a scholarship opportunity from Educational Pathways International (EPI) to brilliant and needy students. I applied in September 2019 and fortunately I was granted the opportunity of a full scholarship, in October 2019, to continue with my untiring studies without having to worry about the financial needs.

In my short period of being with the EPI family, we have had one general meeting and through this meeting, I have learnt the basic principles I need to know in writing a curriculum vitae. I am very hopeful I will learn great new skills during our upcoming general meetings when school resumes after its temporary closure and also meet and interact with EPI family because they are very disciplined, focused, and provide a sense of belonging. I simply feel at home with other EPI beneficiaries. EPI is indeed a family!

I am so grateful to Educational Pathways International for such a great honour. ‘Thank you’ are two small words but have a deeper meaning. I want to seize this opportunity to say ‘Thank you’ to EPI and long live this family!

My name is Samuel Kwarteng. I am a second year Medical Laboratory student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. My first year with Educational Pathways International (EPI), has been excitement and transformational. As a recipient of the 2019/2020 EPI scholarship, I want to say thank you for awarding me this scholarship. Growing up in a less privileged community has not only offered financial and academic challenges but has helped me realize the value of college education. I am very excited and grateful to be a part of this family.

Since I joined EPI, I have gone through a much needed transition not only in my academics but personal and social lives as well. Attaining this scholarship proved to be an essential aspect to my studies which was evident in the grades I had for my first year. I was able to focus and align myself with my set goals. Through meetings chaired by our Program Director, I have been able to acquire knowledge and skills that will shape my life whiles at school and also in the corporate world.

2020 turned out to be a trying period for students and the world at large. Challenging as it was, there was a silver lining. Most of us got the chance to use virtual class platforms for the first time which was quite the experience. Much can be said about our cherished Program Director Auntie Eunice, who has been such a motherly figure to us. Her kind and empathetic words really motivated and kept us going when difficulty and challenges arose.

EPI has opened a door and the prospect of a brighter future making it possible for me to rise to the top and effect the change in my community. Organizations like EPI makes life brighter for us and I can only hope that one day, I would be in a position to bring a smile to another needy student. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the benefactors of EPI for giving students like myself a lifeline to strive for academic excellence. Thank God for EPI.

My first year with Educational Pathways International (EPI), although short, has been nothing short of excitement and transformation. As a recipient of the 2019-2020 EPI scholarship, I want to say thank you for awarding me this scholarship. Growing up in a less privileged community has not only offered financial and academic challenges but has helped me realize the value of college education. I was very excited to learn that I have been selected for this prestigious scholarship. I am very appreciative of your support of my education.
Since I joined EPI, I have gone through a much needed transition not only in my academics but personal and social lives as well. Attaining this scholarship proved to be an essential cog to my studies which was evident in the grades I had for my first semester - I was able to focus and align myself with my set goals. General meetings chaired by our Program Director, Auntie Eunice, also gave me an opportunity to meet and interact with other beneficiaries. It made me see EPI not as an organization but a family which I am very proud and honored to be a part of. These meetings also afforded me the platform to participate in workshops. These workshops have really taught me a lot.
My choice to pursue a career in the healthcare stems from my desire to have a significant impact on the lives of others; and it does not get any better than saving or assisting to save someone’s life. A career in the Medical Laboratory Sciences would greatly help me fulfill this desire. I am also driven by the fascinating work of a laboratory scientist. Medical Laboratory Science provides clues that are key in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury, and laboratory professionals are the detectives of the health care world. After school, I want to proceed and undertake one year mandatory national service. After the service, I hope to secure a job as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in any recognized health institution, amidst making plans to further my education. I am currently undertaking an ongoing collaborative research into neglected tropical diseases which I hope to complete upon my graduation and my findings playing a vital tool in the fight against these diseases which are mostly prevalent in the rural communities of which I am a part of. As part of a way of giving back to my community, I plan to organize health screening exercises to assist in the early detection of health anomalies; something that is currently lacking in my community. Creating awareness of these neglected diseases and educating the people on the precautionary and preventive measures to avoid them is my way of giving back to my community which I intend to continue after my education.
EPI has opened a door and the prospect of a brighter future for me and will play a key role in shaping me into a successful person in future. Organizations like EPI make life brighter for us and I can only hope that one day, I will also be in a position to bring a smile to another needy student. I cannot express my gratitude enough, and I want you to know that your generous support will see me achieve my dreams.

Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program has been a really life changing experience for me. I entered the university with no hope of financial support to continue funding my education. Though a brilliant student, no individual or scholarship program had come to my aid. Out of the blue, EPI scholarship programme came to my rescue and has been my backbone since.
My name is Nelson Kofi Peprah. A first year Doctor of Pharmacy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. The periodic meetings held at the beginning and end of each semester of the academic year have been helpful a lot. I have come into contact with a number of colleague beneficiaries also offering the Doctor of Pharmacy program and are willing to help me with my studies. I have been able to extend a helping hand to others with regards to their studies. I am no longer the “island” people saw me, all thanks to EPI. I feel more connected and more than ready to give back to society.
I hope to grow into one of the top pharmacists in the world, a few years to come. I will be one who will be willing to assist others the same way this scholarship program is assisting me. I intend to provide the elderly in my community with free and quality healthcare in the future. With help from EPI, I hope to realise all these goals in order to contribute to national development.
A new semester is here with all its stressful activities but I hope to emerge victorious by the Grace of God and continue benefiting from the scholarship programme. I am grateful to the scholarship program for this great opportunity and a big thank you for your great deed of financially supporting my education.

My name is Justin Andaarah Kono. Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science student at the University for Development Studies, Tamale. I am in my 5th year. My experience in Educational Pathways International (EPI), the last four years has been very tremendous, exciting and worth sharing. As someone who has keenly followed the procedures followed to award local scholarships in Ghana, I actually did not believe there could be any such scholarship around the country that still followed its principles, executed them diligently and made sure that the right people had the support that they provided, thus fulfilling their primary interest of supporting brilliant and needy in their university education.

Throughout this period that I have been a scholar of EPI, financial assistance has been very consistent including mentoring. I have benefited from the guidance and advices EPI gives not just for studies but on social, financial and religious aspects of my student life apart from the consistent yearly financial assistance. Even in this time of a global pandemic, Educational Pathways International has stayed true to its commitment of financial support and students’ welfare. This is an indication that EPI is an institution with very solid foundation.

Due to the pandemic and lockdowns, we stayed very long at home. We resorted to the use of the internet for lectures and other engagements with our Lecturers. This gave me a firsthand exposure and experience to online meetings and discussions, online lectures and online presentations. I also learnt to use online facilities and materials for research purposes and to study on my own. Building on this exposure, I intend to pursue some online courses from universities abroad.

During that time, I also had the time to think through problems in my community and try to come up with solutions to these problems. I identified a problem in the poultry sector in Ghana and also proceeded to propose a solution to this problem. This proposal landed me as one of the finalists of the VC’s business award, a maiden business pitching competition organized by the Business Innovation and Incubation Center of the University for Development Studies. This is a competition where students with brilliant business ideas compete for a sum of money to start those businesses. Even though I did not win, I learnt a lot from the competition. I learnt how to write standard business proposals, the right way to pitch ideas knowing the essentials. Through the competition, I also had the chance to meet many business men and women from whom I can get mentorship as far as business idea development is concerned. I am currently in the incubation program instituted by the center.
Based on encouragement from the mentorship program to be versatile, I have also discovered I am a talented musician. I have recorded a number of songs within this period. My friends like to listen to them.

I have personally encouraged a lot of people to seek this opportunity that I have, provided they are eligible and meet the requirements.

I am really grateful to the donors of Educational Pathways International and all who make or run this institution. Educational Pathways International fans into flames our firing spirits of change in our communities, lightens our educational way, restores our lost hopes and makes our dreams a possible reality. Thank you.

When I sit back to reminisce, I am contented with how far I have come in my education. Back in the days I never imagined myself at a level like this in education because of hardship and inability to afford the fees of any tertiary institution in my country. Even more contented do I become when I recount how enjoyable the journey has been so far. I am Justin, Kono Andaarah, a fourth year Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science student in the University for Development Studies, Ghana.
I have been a dreamer and well-wisher of my community. I wanted to see my community enjoy the best of health care one day and I had thought of being the pioneer in bringing that day to the community. Though gloomy was the way when I was due for tertiary education, it all has been the intervention of Educational Pathways International (EPI). Educational Pathways International gave me a reason to smile at a time I could only grieve the apparent helplessness of my education.
Educational Pathways International gives me financial assistance and it does not end there. I am mentored, encouraged and guided in my academic activities and my whole campus life. Educational Pathways International also gives me extracurricular education that will help me prepare adequately for my career and social life. I see my dreams, they are still lit. Thanks to Educational Pathways International and its donors.

One of the valuable things in this world is opportunity, because sometimes all that takes for someone to be successful is a chance to do so. Therefore, I deem this scholarship from Educational Pathways International (EPI) as a great opportunity for me to pursue my tertiary education.

My name is Kelly Carl Abakah Blankson, a second year student offering Geological Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. I am privileged and blessed to be a beneficiary of this great scholarship programme because, I believe my academic and career goals are now not far from being achieved. Previously, I had fears of not being able to complete my tertiary education which I needed to propel me to achieve my academic and career goals because I was financially handicapped but as of now, I am of a strong conviction that I will achieve my goals and I owe all this to Educational Pathways International for their tremendous support.

The prevalence of illegal mining and water pollution activities in Ghana instilled within me the passion to help fight this social problem. Therefore, I decided to pursue Geological Engineering as my undergraduate programme at the university. I want to be a Hydrogeologist and Geophysicist so I intend to acquire my Masters and Doctorate degrees in Hydrogeology and Geophysics. I believe that my knowledge in these aspects of engineering will put me in a very good position to help in solving the water pollution problem in my community and country.

The Covid-19 pandemic hampered the academic activities of the educational institutions in the country from preschool to the tertiary level. During the long break, online lectures and online examinations was the new method continuing with our education, students had to cope with the situation despite it being disturbing and hectic sometimes. Also the resumption of schools after the long break due to the Covid-19 was also a good experience as students were able to get back to the normal way of teaching and learning in-person which is also conducive for better academic works. The situation created by the Covid-19 did not derail me from focusing on my studies and goals I intend to achieve.

Finally, I would like to express my utmost appreciation to Educational Pathways International for this great opportunity for me to pursue my academic and career goals and I intend to utilize this opportunity very well to make me a skilled professional who has the development of his community and country in mind.

Thank you.

My name is Rose Nyarkoah Gyesi. A final year Geography major student of the University of Ghana (Legon) and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme. My academic journey has been joyous ever since I became part of this noble family. EPI has immensely supported my academic needs and helped me to stay focused on my studies. Not only this, our interactive sections as a family have groomed me for life after school. Through our regular meetings, I have been able to attain knowledge on good time management, presentation skills, writing of curriculum vitae and setting goals in life. Unlike other organizations, we are encouraged to partake in internships during vacations so that we acquire practical skills and acquaint ourselves with the outside world. Unfortunately, our lovely meeting sections was halted because of the alarming incidence of the Covid 19 pandemic and its protocols of social distancing. But however, our online platforms have been a better alternative for our interactions with the aid of our able Program Director.

These support from EPI has heightened my interest to be a better person and impact other people positively. Also, EPI’s key contribution to my academics has helped me to be a step closer to my dream. It has always been my career goal to be a Professor in the field of Geography, thus having a bachelor’s degree is preliminary.

This discipline (Geography) involves the study of the earth physical features, its systems, the related interactions with the inhabitants within it as well as the spatial organizations. By researching in this field and grasping a better understanding of the earth phenomena, I would be able to impart not only knowledge to students but also offer rightful recommendations on the environmental hazards such as flooding, mass wasting, waste management, deforestation among others that we face in our developing societies and Ghana as a whole. Again, becoming a Geographer is a right step in direction to contribute to the spatial planning and development of the country, Ghana.

It is with a grateful heart that I say a big thank you to EPI for this great support to me and other brilliant and needy students. I say “Ayekoo” for giving us the opportunities to achieve our dreams and goals for the betterment of our communities and the country at large.

My name is Sylvester Agyapong, a final year Computer Engineering student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Prior to my tertiary education, I studied general science in the high school due to the interest that I had in artificial intelligence and robotics at a tender age. It became difficult for me to continue my education due to financial challenges that my parents faced. Despite this obstacle, I managed to complete high school and was awarded an admission by KNUST to study Computer Engineering, the very programme of my interest.
Upon arrival at the university, I was committed to studying very hard so as to be able to accomplish my goal of becoming a great technological entrepreneur in my country and be counted among the very best in the world. However, this was not an easy task since my parents could not afford the cost of my education. This soon became a burden on me until I was awarded a comprehensive scholarship from Educational Pathways International(EPI). They covered all my educational expenses which includes my tuition, accommodation, transportation, books and stipend. Also EPI being a community of intellectuals, it offered motivation and empowerment for me to keep on working to make my dream come true. The EPI Programme Director organized several seminars and lectures to teach us important life and industrial skills. In a word, EPI is simply life changing organization.
Last year was particularly difficult year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were compelled to abandon the semester halfway and resume lectures through online portals. This purely online based studies became difficult for most of us as it was unchartered territory for most of us. During this difficult times EPI through its Programme Director checked up on progress we were making with online lectures and offered guidance in order to make the best out of a bad situation. EPI offered not just sponsorship but systemic guidance in order to succeed in my tertiary education and thereafter.
Upon graduation from the university and completion of my national service, I intend to start up a software and AI company with others who share the same dream as myself. Together we will work to alleviate the technological standards of Ghana and in the process improve upon the standard of living of citizens.

Prior to my tertiary education, I studied general science in high school due to the interest that I had in artificial intelligence and robotics at a tender age.

Pursuing my education became difficult when my mother who was my main sponsor got sick. Despite this obstacle, I managed to complete high school and was awarded an admission by KNUST and by God’s design I was given the very programme that I desired to read. I worked for a while for some money and with some assistance from my parents entered into the university.

Upon arrival at the university, I dedicated myself to studying very hard so as to be counted amongst the very best in my department and also in the entire school and probably the nation as a whole. My dream was to be a highly learned and experienced person in technology within my country and beyond. My interests lies especially with artificial intelligence, software engineering and robotics and I aspire to be counted among the greats like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and so many more. Technological advancement in Ghana and other African countries is not the best and I aspire to someday change this trend and elevate the technological standards of this generation and posterity.

A dream that one does not work on to accomplish remain just a dream. To achieve this dream means I would have to remain in school to learn and acquire the skill necessary to make it a reality. However, this was not an easy task since I could not afford the cost of my education. My tuition, accommodation, transportation and health expenses had to be paid by myself since my parents could not offer much help. My name is Sarkodee Godfred Boateng, a fourth year medical student at the University of Ghana and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI). Pursuing medicine has always been my dream because I have the passion to help people in that regard, to do the ‘impossible’ to sustain life and bring joy to families. I want to pursue this dream to the highest level to promote life as much as I can. As I climb higher it is my dream also, that I give back to society and help others because we rise only by helping others.
As children, we were always dared to dream big despite the myopic vision our financial status created. The journey to the attainment of one’s dream is never an easy one. It is one that requires a lot of effort, determination and financial muscle. In my quest to attain mine, EPI has been of immense importance and benefit to me. I became a beneficiary of this great organization in my first year and it gave me the financial booster I needed for the journey.
Four years with EPI has been years to remember. Not only do they provide financial support, we have scheduled meetings/seminars during which our wonderful Director, Miss Eunice Adwoa Eghan advice, guide and teach us some basic life skills. EPI has also provided me with a wonderful family of other beneficiaries, and this helps me socially. I believe EPI is a whole package.
The pandemic (CoVID-19) disrupted the educational flow during the beginning of the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. Lectures had to be done online and students had to adapt. The online education took away the classroom experience and physical interactions with course mates and friends but it was a new and wonderful experience. Adaptation was not easy initially but we grew into it and became perfect.
I am very grateful to be a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International for their continuous support and commitment to making us better. Indeed we have become better.
Thank you EPI.

Few years ago, I had a dream to realize. I was totally unsure of how to finance that dream but today thanks to Educational Pathways International (EPI) I am on the right path to making my dream a reality.
I am a medical student at the University of Ghana and in the third year. I have a dream of becoming a Cardiologist. I chose medicine and I want to be a Cardiologist because it has always been my dream and passion to save lives. The rate at which people die from heart diseases is alarming and I hope to add up to the work force in order to reduce the rate in my community and my country. This my dream is gradually becoming a reality with the help of the EPI.
I am very happy to have been selected as a recipient of the EPI scholarship because not only has it brought me closer to realizing my dreams but I have also been prepared for life through the advice and teachings of our Program Director. General meetings/seminars held during which some topics such as time management, public speaking, planning and leadership competencies are treated. These topics help shape our lives in anticipation to the achievement of our goals. I can confidently say that my leadership positions in school can be traced to EPI. Guidance and counselling is also given to ensure that we stay on track and make studying the ultimate goal in school.
Through EPI, I have also met other beneficiaries and we have a wonderful family. I am proud to be a member of this family.
Thank you EPI for making us better in every way possible.

My name is Gideon Anagli, a final year student of the University of Ghana Legon, studying BSc. Actuarial Science. My educational life was challenging but I never gave up. Finally, I applied for the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship when I gained admission at the university and was fortunate to be selected after a couple of interviews. EPI has transformed my life in many ways since I received the scholarship award.

To begin with, EPI takes care of all my academic needs. To me, nothing can make the educational life of a student more comfortable than this. I am really grateful to EPI for this support. Furthermore, EPI is not just a scholarship scheme but a family who cares about its beneficiaries. EPI organizes seminars that teaches us lessons that are outside our classroom work. It further has a social platform created for us where we engage in interactive educative talks and discussions.

Added to that, I chose to study Actuarial Science because of my love for the study of Mathematics and its applications to solve complex problems. Studies has been great and my educational life met my expectations except when the Covid-19 pandemic set in last year. Our academic life changed completely. We resolved to online studies and writing examinations online while staying at home. To me, academic life has never been more difficult compared to this. We were being bombarded with lecture videos and slides throughout our stay at home. Timed quizzes and assignments became the order of the day. The internet data package provided by the school was not enough to undertake all the activities we were bound to take. We had to buy data to supplement what was provided. It was confusing and extremely stressful, a moment where one can easily decide to give up or defer the programme.

After the semester came to an end despite the numerous challenges that accompanied it, it was time to face being at home without any hope of resuming school. It was heartbreaking to watch the president of the Republic of Ghana on our screens extending our duration of stay at home on many occasions due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases recorded during those times. “Schools remain closed” he would say.

Despite the fact that schooling can be stressful, I missed going to school, I just knew staying at home doing nothing was not for me. I decided to take up courses online to keep me occupied. We finally resumed school after staying home for eight months. But things were never the same. My school had already made a decision to organize school in sessions. A semester was now made six weeks instead of thirteen weeks of teaching and learning in other to accommodate half of the student population in the first badge. But course contents remained the same. Some classes were organized online while some were in-person but we had to write all exams in person. This was also very challenging. One may wonder who made these decisions? Have they considered the negative impacts on student lives? Amidst all these, one thing remained certain. It was time to learn to adapt and survive.

I personally know that, in the theory of evolution, the species that survived, did not survive because of their strength but because of their ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions. And so it was time to adapt to all the new conditions in other to survive again. I am adapting to these changes and I am almost done, I am left with a semester more to complete my university education.

I intend to partake in some form of community service or volunteering after school as a form of appreciation to EPI and to my country Ghana.

We would all agree that for us to succeed or reach our goals in life, we need support in one way or the other. I was facing many challenges in my educational life but continued to work hard. Finally, in my tertiary education, I applied for the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship and I was fortunate to be selected after a couple of interviews. EPI has transformed my life massively in many ways since I received the award.
Firstly, EPI paid my school fees, aside that paid for my accommodation on campus, feeding and needed school materials as well. To me, nothing can make the educational life of a student better than this. I am really grateful to EPI for this gargantuan support.
Furthermore, EPI is not just a scholarship donor but a family who cares about its beneficiaries by bringing us together on social media platforms and shares essential ideas with us and aside that, organize seminars and programmes that teaches us very important things that are outside our classroom work such as, C.V writing, Report writing, Public Speaking, and many more. EPI also requires us to do internships which is a great benefit to our own career and also contributes to society.
Finally, with all these supports from EPI, I am working very hard towards my future goals to become one of the world class professional actuaries. I strongly believe that with hard work, determination, never giving up spirit, with God on my side and having EPI as a family who supports me educationally, I am on the winning side.
Thank You.

I thank Educational Pathways International (EPI) for its philanthropic work to help unearth hidden potentials in needy and brilliant students. Educational Pathways International (EPI), a non-profitable Organisation which provides a comprehensive financial support to brilliant and needy students. EPI has impacted my life in diverse ways and made me feel congenial as a student ever since I was awarded the scholarship.

My name is Richmond Adu-Amponsah, a third year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), pursuing BSc. Electrical/Electronics Engineering. It has been a wonderful journey since I joined EPI in 2018. I always have the dream of becoming one of the greatest Engineers Ghana can ever produce.

After admission into the university, I realized things were going to be hard than expected. I dread the thought of achieving my dream until I became part of the noble family of EPI. I now see myself as a young man moving toward my goals.

Aside my academic goals, my great passion is to reach out to the financially challenged students, who are brilliant in my community. I want to be a person that propels people towards greatness some day. I want to be the smile on the face of a lot of people out there. Putting myself in the best position to serve humanity is my key goal in life and my whole career will be geared towards that.

I must say that being EPI beneficiary is the best thing that has ever happen to me. Even in the Covid 19 period, when students in Ghana had to stay home for a period of about nine months, EPI was still around providing tremendous financial and emotional support to its beneficiaries.

I am very appreciative to Educational Pathways International for their support towards my educational carrier. EPI has given me life transforming opportunity and is helping me to become a better person. I am really grateful.
Long live EPI !!!

I am Abiba Adams. A second year student offering Doctor of Pharmacy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I had the privilege of being part of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) family in 2019. The scholarship has been of great help to me and my family. Thanks to Educational Pathways International I am enjoying a comprehensive scholarship and I have full focus on my academics and as a result I do very well academically. And this academic excellence can be seen among most Educational Pathways International beneficiaries.
EPI has helped me build myself and branded myself better due to the regular educational meetings and workshops that we are taken through. This also give us the opportunity to meet and interact with other EPI beneficiaries on campus. I call Educational Pathways International a family because we have a great Director who acts as a parent and a good friend to us all, making no one feel less than the other. There is a luncheon organized annually which I always look forward to and I know I am not the only one, every beneficiary does. I believe the main reason for the luncheon is not just to eat but to meet as a family and interact with other people who may share similar stories as ours and may have the same background as us, the important aspect is that we get to meet and interact with our Benefactors who visit us from the USA annually to share in our lives and motivate us to strive higher.
We had quite a different academic year when the spread of coronavirus kept us indoors last year and we had to adopt to the virtual way of doing things including schooling. It way quite challenging for me initially trying to adopt but now I can call myself a pro in online learning and the use of technology.
It was such a great relieve going back to school, meeting my friends again, meeting in-person for lectures which is much more interactive and fun.
EPI is helping make my dreams of becoming a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist become a reality. It is my earnest dream to set up a pharmaceutical company which will provide employment and be a source of income to the less privilege in my community.
Educational Pathways International is giving dream to the dreamless, hope to the hopeless family to those that feel alone and smiles to those that have lost their smiles.
Thank you Educational Pathways International for touching lives and may the good Lord bless you.

My name is Desmond Bantee, a second year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science
and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Land Economy.
I live in a deprived village in the Upper West Region of Ghana, and my dream is to acquire the
requisite knowledge and skills that would enable me to help in the formulation and
implementation of policies that would improve the socio-economic wellbeing of my people
while maintaining the much-required balance between the natural and built environment.
This ignited my interest in Land Economy, an intellectually challenging programme with
excellent combination of economics, law and a sustainable balance between the natural and built
environment. This course which is relevant as it is important especially in this 21 st century of
rapidly changing situations of life would offer me a variety of skills and knowledge in different
yet crucial aspects of our society and contribute to my long-term dream of impacting my
community and country at large.
After a successful completion of the senior high school and living in the village, my chances of
succeeding became slim due to the financial constraints my family face. I thought this dream of
mine would never materialize given the financial status of my family. Thanks to Educational
Pathways International (EPI), my hopes became heightened and I could then sense my ambition
transforming into reality after I was awarded a scholarship in October, 2019 after successfully
gaining admission into a premier University in Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science
and Technology (KNUST), to pursue BSc Land Economy. EPI’s scholarship package caters for
my school fees, accommodation, books and stipends which enables me to have a free and
peaceful mind to concentrate on my academic work as well as other extra-curricular activities to
make myself, my family and EPI proud.
Aside the financial assistance that beneficiaries of Educational Pathways International receive,
we also benefit from intensive training sessions on crucial aspects of our lives to make us
wholesome graduates with the requisite skills and capabilities to make significant impact in our
communities and country at large. We attend monthly meetings every semester to be trained on
areas such as CV preparation, public speaking, effective time management and how to
adequately prepare for interviews (these are those I have benefited so far).
EPI has impacted so greatly in my life such that I have developed confidence in public speaking,
I can prepare an accurate CV and effectively manage my time. This comes from the lively and
interactive discussions during our monthly meetings to enable everyone comprehend the
concepts being taught, and how we can apply them to our daily living such that others can
emulate. EPI has really transformed the lives of many.
It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty God repays the founders, donors and sponsors of this
great family (EPI), a hundred fold in this life and a thousand fold in the hereafter. May He
continue to bless them and watch over them to keep on supporting and positively impacting the
lives of brilliant and needy students across our country Ghana and also beyond Ghana to realize
their full potential against abject poverty which would otherwise have hindered our laudable
aspirations. I will forever be grateful to EPI not only for the financial support but also for the
sense of belonging, love, care and encouragement they offer me.
Long live KNUST, long live Ghana, long live Educational Pathways International and all those who seek to preserve it for posterity.

Thank you.

Arhin Otoo is my name, a third year student at the University of Ghana, offering Political Science and Philosophy. I intend to read Law after my first degree to become a Lawyer.
I applied for Educational Pathways (EPI) scholarship in 2019. It was a very critical moment for me at that time due to my financial situation. I probably would have dropped out if I couldn’t find a sustainable means of finance. Fortunate for me, I was awarded the scholarship in 2019 and I am enjoying this full scholarship till I graduate from the university. I am happy to say EPI kept me in school.
As a beneficiary of EPI , I have gain the sound mind to study without the need to worry about how to take care of my fees while in school, since the scholarship finance my fees, my study materials accommodation on campus and extra cash for my upkeep. EPI scholarship offered an environment of support for me, apart from the financial support, I’ve acquired knowledge and skills through the periodic seminars we received. Unfortunately, a number of the essential programs that we were supposed to acquire last semester did not materialize due to the pandemic that forced schools to close down in Ghana. However, the economic squeeze that followed the pandemic had little impact on me because of the support I received from EPI.
I am most grateful to all the EPI team who are toiling day and night to support me and other beneficiaries. It is by your efforts that I am still in school. I now hope to graduate and accomplish my career with the enthusiasm to serve my nation and engage in such life touching projects. The world is made a better place by these efforts and I hope to touch lives too as I have been touched. Thank you EPI.

My name is Arhin A. Otoo. I am a student at University of Ghana (Legon), studying BA Political Science and Philosophy, and currently in the second year. Educational Pathways International (EPI) has been a blessing to me since I began my university education.

My primary motive as a student is to graduate with a first class degree so as to qualify for Law degree program to become a Lawyer. It is my dream to strengthen community based organisation, especially those in the rural areas with the legal skills I will acquire. In light of the increasing dependency of rural folks on government, the inadequate self-help initiatives, and sometimes the unfair treatment of deprived communities that sometimes results in exploitation due to illegal practices, I have always believed that if such communities are well organize and backed with legal experts, their conditions can be better improved.

Gaining admission to the university came with a cost that my family could not afford, and thanks to Educational Pathways International (EPI), for granting me a full scholarship.

EPI organises internal seminars for all beneficiaries to be equipped with some essential knowledge. The seminars also helped me in my academics and I also feel it is preparing me beyond school work, since some critical discussions that transpires during the seminar are loaded and informative.

At the moment EPI is my bedrock and I am very dependent on the support they offer me in school. I want to thank everyone who makes a contribution in every form for their selflessness and love they have shown through this program. It has given me an opportunity I will forever cherish and a privilege I will not take for granted. I wish there was another way I can show my appreciation to all who are keeping this scholarship program running.

I am convinced to say, it is through your goodness that some of us can't help it but to do good too. EPI is making the world a better place and I am a living testimony.

My name is Frederick Wih Asamoah, a fourth year medical student at the University for Development studies, Ghana, West Africa.

After experiencing a painful demise of my beloved grandmother as a child as a result of inadequacy of health personnel to attend to her in time, I told myself that I will become a Medical Doctor in the future in order to save others and prevent the occurrences of such circumstances in my country.

As I was growing up I found out that one of the contributing factor to the inadequacy of health personnel in my country is as a results of health personnel moving out of the country to the developed country to seek for greener pastures after they receive their training leaving their own to suffer.

With this in mind, I told myself that I would not just be a health worker but I will strive to go on top of my carrier to be able to occupy certain sensitive position where I can make decision to check some of these things in order to be of a benefit my country Ghana.

However, upon all these dreams my family was financially handicapped. life became that bad that after first year in the University I nearly dropped out. However, just when I thought it was over, God miraculously brought to me the most wonderful family I have ever met, The Educational Pathways International (EPI).

After listening to my story, my background, accessing my academics and my vision, they believed in me and the future that awaits me and granted me a full scholarship package covering: my school fees, residential fees, books and stipends.

By God’s grace, I now have food to eat, room to rest, books to read, a peace of mind and above all have relieved my family of a heavy burden.

In terms of mentorship, EPI has given us many mentorship programs from the time I joined this wonderful family. I have learnt a lot about the world outside; entrepreneurship, career guidance, financial management, helping the needy, life as a student, etc.

I have purposed that in the future, with or without support I will go out to most of our rural areas to educate people especially the youth about the purpose of education, career guidance, the importance of girl-child education, and educate people on health related issues such as good personal hygiene, etc. This I believe will keep them abreast with personal hygiene to some extent and it will positively contribute to the growth and development that we all expect as a country.

I thank EPI for completely changing my life and giving me hope, to my family and to my country at large. I pray that God blesses EPI more financially in order to keep on with their good works and bring hope to the hopeless.

Marylyn Oduro Awuah is my name, a final year BSc. Petrochemical Engineering student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana and a proud Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship beneficiary.
I was filled with extreme gratitude upon gaining admission into the university after my senior high school education. However, I was saddened by the fact that I may not be able to go through my tertiary education due to financial difficulty.
I had to seek for financial aid thus I applied for scholarships and was fortunate to be selected by Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship the same year I gained admission to study. I am forever grateful for that. Educational Pathways International (EPI) is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization that seeks to recognize, support and empower gifted young university students from needy families by providing them with full scholarships for their university education. I have received numerous support and benefits from this scholarship since I joined and have been positively impacted in my academics, leadership skills, family life, social life, among others.

It has been my passion to do Engineering with the sole purpose of helping to create an enabling environment through science and technology growth and advancement. I opted for Petrochemical Engineering because our fast-growing global world required variety of petrochemical products for a better and more comfortable environment. Some of such products include plastics, pharmaceutical products and medicine, paints and coatings, rubbers, synthetic fibers, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), fertilizers and pesticides, detergents, dyes, clothing, cosmetics, liquified Petroleum gas (LPG) and other petroleum derived product which are of great importance to our wellbeing and comfort.

Educational Pathways International do not only provide financial aid for beneficiaries but goes the extra mile of offering advice, counsel, guidance, motivation and training through meetings/seminars organized to equip all beneficiaries, thus shaping us for academic excellence and helping us achieve our career goals as well and preparing us for the corporate world after school.

My sincere and heartfelt appreciation and gratitude goes to the executive body of EPI and the supporting bodies of this organization, who seeks to unearth the potential of brilliant and needy students. Also, I would like to appeal to able bodies and individuals to support this nonprofit organization so that more students who find themselves in financial challenges but with great intelligence and potential can also receive the help and support too.
Thank you EPI. We say Ayekoo!

My name is Edith Enyonam Salu, a final year student at the University of Ghana. I am offering BA Political Science and French.
I strongly desire to continue with the French language. This is because French is a lovely language and I would like to help the upcoming generation in this Language, to better their communication skills. This intension came as a result of how a lot of students in my society, from the lower class to the upper class do not like French so much. I would love to become the reason why the love of French will return to the pupils in my region.
After school I intend to continue with my education to at least the master's level either in the country or outside the country. Even as I think about my future I intend to help my community in the Volta Region of Ghana with portable water since some people still drink either the rained water or the water from the wells.
Educational Pathways International(EPI) Sponsorship has helped me financially, emotionally and psychologically. Growing up with a lot of visions I became stranded on the way in my first year at the university since I had no help to continue with my education as the sources of my finances were not promising. With the help of EPI’s sponsorship from second year till now, I am strengthened to believe in myself and my capabilities and to move on in life with all boldness. It was not an easy journey, but EPI's sponsorship made it possible especially financially.
I have no financial worries now. I have the free mind to develop my skills because I have the time I would have used to earn money for my studies and education to develop my skills. I am able to confidently participate in seminars and conferences at school and this is because EPI has helped to give me a stable mind.
To add to the numerous helps offered by EPI, the seminars and workshops organized by EPI has given me an opened mindset of what the job world is about, how to effectively manage my time, how to present myself to the public, time management, leadership skills, how to effectively write a CV, how to have a successful interview not leaving out how to write a good application letter, competences that employers look out for. With these lessons and many more, I'm confident anywhere I go.
I appreciate Educational Pathways International for such aids and opportunity given to its beneficiaries and the best I can do is to study hard so that in the future I could also be part of helping students as EPI has helped me this far.

My name is Abubakar Shaibu, a third year Medical Laboratory Technology student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.
This is my third year as a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) family in KNUST. My time with EPI family has had a positive impact on my social life and academics. In a world where there is a lot of depression, EPI is always ready to offer the needed counselling to students as and when the need arises, senior course mates who are also beneficiaries are available and ready to assist struggling students. General meetings offer students the opportunity to learn things not taught in lecture rooms as well as internships that enables students to learn from companies during vacations.
During the height of the covid 19 when schools were closed down and there was a global pandemic, EPI did not stop in helping students cope academically and social wise whilst adhering to the safety protocols put in place to curb the spread of this virus. Online lectures coupled with the mental toils of the pandemic made the last two academic semesters the most difficult in my educational journey. Nevertheless, EPI has been supportive with words of encouragement and supportive tuition for students facing challenges with online lectures during the time when schools were closed down and students were learning from home.
With each passing year with EPI, my dream of becoming a Biomedical Scientist and contributing my quota to the development of my country and the world looks more and more feasible. No feeling beats that feeling of satisfaction you get when you give back to the society that made you. It is the responsibility of every human being to contribute to the development of his/her society and to a larger extent the world. That is why I want to give back to the society in any way possible after school.
As a student aspiring to become a Biomedical Scientist, the vital role that Biomedical Scientists around the world are playing today in combating the current Covid-19 pandemic serves as great motivation to me.
It is my hope that, I will form part of a team of Biomedical Scientists that will combat neglected tropical diseases in my country and Africa.

My name is Abubakar Shaibu, a first year Medical Laboratory Technology student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.

I joined Educational Pathways International (EPI) family in November 2018 and since then, the scholarship scheme has been helpful to me in so many ways.
EPI family has helped improved my social and educational life. I have had the opportunity of meeting other students from diverse backgrounds and with different cultures. It has moulded me as a person/student of knowledge.

General meetings are a thing of fun and education. It has presented me with the opportunity of learning from different people and about things outside the classroom. It has enabled me to learn about the corporate world and what happens after school, what to do after school, how to fit into the competitive world outside school and how to achieve my dreams.

I had a dream of making an impact in medical diagnostic services in my locality and Ghana as a whole when I was growing up. I have never felt really close to that dream like I feel right now. Educational Pathways International scholarship has taken me a step closer to that dream. The scholarship scheme has ignited the little hope I had in me as a young man from northern Ghana. It has given me the opportunity to learn from companies/institutions at home during long vacations through internships.

No feeling beats that feeling of satisfaction you get when giving back to the society that you came from. It is a responsibility of every human to help his/her society and to a larger extent his/her mother land. That is why I want to give back to the society in any way possible after school. I intend to help make diagnostic services easily accessible and to greater extent free for the less privileged in my locality as one of my long term plans.

I want to say a big thank you to Educational Pathways International for helping my dreams come true.

Solomon Nakoja is my name, a fourth year Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science (MLSD) student at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana. I am a native of a small village in the northern region of Ghana, Chamba. Coming to a higher level of education comes with expensive bills.
Educational Pathways International (EPI) sponsoring me is a unique and life changing experience, not only for me but also for my parents and siblings. I strongly believe that by empowering me through education, EPI enable me to break the cycle of poverty into which I was born.
Without the help of EPI sponsors, I would have had limited resources and poor focus. For children from more developed societies, education is something that can often be taken for granted, but for many African children like me, it is a lifelong dream. By sponsoring me through my university education, I can make these dreams a reality.
EPI has made my university education very simple and easy, they have provided me with not only financial support for my education but psychological support as well as guidance and counselling. EPI is always available, providing us with supports, training in various fields of life and extra-curricular activities. EPI provides me with parental care; always responding to my calls, listening to my problems and helping me find remedies to them. Sponsoring my education and the provision of care for me provides me a holistic education package.
My goal to serve families who do not have much access to medical assistance. My dream to establish a non-profit organization where I can create internships for medical school student would surely be successful.
EPI scholarship without doubt is one of the best non-profitable organizations sponsoring needy students like me. EPI had help me gain comfort and power over matters concerning education through the provision of financial and emotional supports. Seminars, that are usually organized to provide counselling and guidance has exceptionally been helpful.

Thank you so much for your contribution to my education. EPI has actually given me more than just an education, it has given me a family of people who support me and my dream of becoming a Research Scientist. I cannot thank you enough.

After I graduated from high school, I became certain that if I want to pursue a higher education I need to be persistent and determined to achieve my career aspiration. However, I would not be at this level in my education without the help of Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship. EPI has made my university education very simple and easy, they have provided me with not only financial support for my education but psychological support as well as guidance and counselling.

Moreover, with the scholarship given to me by EPI, my parents have channeled their meagre income to cater for my other siblings and also gained the right to education. EPI has made it possible for the lives of everyone in my family to shift to its right path.

I am grateful to find an opportunity like this that EPI is offering. I am working harder, so that I can continue on my pathway to accomplishing my career goals. I want to give back to my society and my country as a whole. The first health project I want to accomplish throughout my career as a Doctor is to establish a free clinic in my community where affordable medical care and assistance can be provided regardless of the patient’s financial status, the diverse health medication, and nutritional classes to prevent the presence of diabetes or heart diseases.

The second biggest career goal that I want to accomplish is to establish a non-profit organization where I can create internships for medical students around Ghana, and allow them to travel to isolated communities in the country to provide free medical services. I also want to provide nutrition education to support the marginalized communities. This would help contribute to the physical development of children and offer a remedy to malnutrition.
Thank you.

A heart full of gratitude is what I have, regarding the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme not just for being a beneficiary but also for its impact on me. My name is Solomon Apateba Akotiah, a sixth year medical student at the University for Development Studies -School of Medicine and Health Sciences (UDS-SMHS), Tamale, Ghana.
I have been a beneficiary of EPI scholarship at UDS since 2016 up till date. Various impactful manifestations can be seen in various aspects of my life. The scholarship has afforded me the opportunity to easily pay my school fees, accommodation charges and buy books, as well a stipend for my upkeep.
This has helped me so much in that I do not have to lose study time looking for money to settle my academic needs. Thus I have enough time and peace of mind to study effectively and efficiently. It has further lessened the financial burden on my mother. But for EPI, it would have been difficult for me to meet my educational need at the university.
Aside the financial aspect of the scholarship that I get yearly, I get to participate in a number of mentorship programs and workshops organized by EPI. In these programs we are taught various topics of academic and professional importance. I have learnt a lot from these topics.
All these benefits from EPI clearly seem to push me towards achieving my academic and career goals of maintaining good grades throughout my studies and subsequently becoming a Medical Doctor. Becoming a Medical Doctor would not only afford me the chance to cater for myself and my family, but would go a long way to help me contribute my quota to the development of my community, Ghana and the world at large.
My dreams do not end at becoming a Medical Doctor. However, becoming a Medical Doctor would serve as a stepping stone for even becoming a greater asset to this world as I would want to specialize so I can help train other Doctors while rendering health care to individuals wherever I find myself. I also aspire to serve as role model for the younger ones in my village so it can give them hope that they can be great too irrespective of where they come from.
For the continuous support from EPI, I am forever grateful. It is my hope that EPI lives long so it can serve not only me, but others who also want to go higher in their education but cannot afford financially. God bless EPI and all supporters of the Educational Pathways International dreams.

I was fortunate to join EPI in 2016 when I was in my second year in the medical school after meeting the requirements and passing an interview. Ever since, EPI has been my financial supporter up till now. I am able to pay my school fees, accommodations and buy some of my books from the yearly sponsorship I get from EPI and some money for upkeep at school.
In addition to the financial support EPI offers me yearly, I am offered mentorship programs usually in general meetings with my fellow beneficiaries from UDS by EPI officials. In these mentorship sessions, I get the opportunity to be taught very important extracurricular topics and these meetings afford me the chance to learn a lot from EPI and also get to interact with other beneficiaries in different fields of study.
The financial support together with the knowledge and skills I get from EPI have helped and is still helping me immensely. I am able to study more comfortably and relate well with other people. My academic performances have particularly improved over time.
I am positive that with the continuous support from EPI, I will continue to work assiduously to achieve my ambition of not just becoming a Medical Doctor, but one who will contribute immensely to improving the health of my community people and Ghana as a whole by contributing to, if not leading, health research breakthroughs in Ghana and beyond in the future.
I am and is still working to be that role model that the young folk from my community will look up to and study hard to be better persons for themselves and our society.
If I had not gotten EPI scholarship, funding my studies in Medical school up till now would have been extremely difficult if not impossible. I am therefore always grateful to Educational Pathways International for the sponsorship, I really appreciate them.
I pray and hope that EPI continues to exist and function to support us and other needy students from all over Ghana and of various programs of study in all other tertiary institutions. God bless EPI!

My name is Gabriel Edem Zeye. I am a third year BSc. Agribusiness Management student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi Ghana.
Financing my education has been my ultimate problem from Senior High School until I became a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship at the tertiary level. My encounter with (EPI) has been the turning point of the financial crises in my educational life.
Educational Pathways International is a scholarship scheme that provides financial assistance to needy and brilliant students. Financing tertiary education in this part of the world is a problem for many, especially the poor and the needy. Therefore, the emergence of EPI has been the saviour for many needy and brilliant university students in the realization of their dreams.
EPI does not only provide financial support to its beneficiaries. They organize seminars to educate us on many other aspects of life that shapes our academic and social lives and also to prepare us for the corporate world.
During the covid 19 era, EPI has educated us on the various measures taken against the prevention and spread of the virus. A laptop that I bought through the financial assistance from EPI was very useful during the lockdown, it served as a source of entertainment, and the medium for online lectures, quizzes and exams that we took during the lockdown.
I am very grateful to EPI for their support towards my academic success. Growing up as a young adolescent in my community, I realized one of the major problems confronting my country is high importation of agriculture products that our resources can support in its production in our own country.
Agriculture for long, has been perceived as a work for the poor and less privileged. Taking agriculture as a business venture, and making people know that agriculture entails a lot, making it a lucrative business and producing to feed the nation are some of the reasons that made me choose BSc. Agribusiness Management as a programme of study so that I will be able to apply business and management principle in agriculture.
After school, I would like to further as an expert in the field of Agribusiness Management. In my community and the country at large, I would like to set up a non-profit organization to educate the youth to see agriculture as a life time business opportunity that can help in the development of our country and its sustainability in the future.
Finally, I would want to use this opportunity to thank Educational Pathways International for their immense contribution to my education.
God bless Educational Pathways International.
Long live Educational Pathways International.

I am Samuel Tabiri, a final year student offering BSc Statistics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology (KNUST).
I am a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) and this organization (family) has made a great impact in my life in many ways. Through this institution, I have leant a lot and the application of what I have learnt in this Organization has resulted in the improvement in my life. For instance, through EPI, I have learnt how to manage my time effectively, plan very well, relate socially and understand the cultures of people from different background.
Also, through EPI, I have been able to perform extremely excellent in my academics due to the guidance, support and motivation I receive from the EPI.
This institution has really given me the mandate to pursue my academic career and goals in the programme I am offering. I realized most of the institutions in the country lack accurate information which serves as a hindrance to their contribution to the progress of this country. As a result, the development rate of this country is unsatisfactory. Offering BSc Statistics would offer me the chance of becoming a Data Analyst to enable me analyze data effectively, provide reliable information and facts to these institutions to ensure their progress, thereby contributing to the development of the country.
Furthermore, with the knowledge acquired, I will be able to educate members in my community by impacting the knowledge gained to the members and also set up an institution that will help people facing any challenge they have about any information or data set they have to enable them realize how they can extract meaningful and useful ideas they can extract from the data set or information they have.
In addition, with the research procedures and skills acquired from my career, it will enable me conduct a tangible research that will enable me provide hypothesis and solutions that can curb phenomenal challenges confronting the society.
Thanks to Educational Pathways International (EPI) for their assistance both financially and academically in making me achieve these goals.

I am Priscilla Edem Domie, a student of the University of Ghana, Legon. I am a second year student offering BSc. Biomedical Engineering. Educational Pathways International (EPI) has really helped me in various ways, not only financially but also socially and morally. Being a beneficiary of EPI doesn’t make you feel just like you belong to a group but it also makes you feel like you are a part of a family. Our leaders are friendly and we easily go to them for advice and even seek help when we find ourselves in need.
The beneficiaries meet at least once every month under the guidance of the Program Director who either educates us or invites influential people to speak to us. Some of the things I have personally learnt was how to write my CV and time management. EPI gives the beneficiaries the opportunity to take up leadership roles among ourselves so that we can become responsible and confident to take up leadership roles in the near future. Not to talk about the refreshment after each seminar held. It’s a feeling of home away from home.
For the first time, I am not stressed at how my school fees or residential fees would be paid. This is because EPI has got me covered with the comprehensive scholarship that I was awarded. This is indeed a heavy burden lifted off me and my parents. All I have to do now is to study hard and allow the teachings of this great institution pass through me and mould me into becoming a great person in future.
I have always had a keen interest in working in the hospital and I also loved maths. I didn’t know how this two could work along until I was enrolled into Biomedical Engineering. Biomedical Engineering because of my interest in Mathematics and the desire to work in the hospital field. Biomedical Engineering offers vast opportunities in developing artificial organs, building machines to aid in diagnosis, providing technical support for medical technology, training clinicians in machine use and engineering aspects of biological systems. At the end of my four year studies in Biomedical Engineering and some further education, I desire to serve my country with my acquired skills and knowledge by contributing to the success of healthcare facilities and have the opportunity to impact people’s lives around the world with advanced treatments to save lives and to improve our lifestyles.
I want to thank Educational Pathways International (EPI) for this life changing scholarship that they have awarded me.

I am Bright Asante, a third year BSc. Biochemistry student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. In October, 2019 a friend of mine informed me about a number of organizations which were giving out scholarships to brilliant but needy students. Upon going through the list of scholarships to be given out, I knew Educational Pathways International (EPI) was the right one for me. I went through the application process and by the grace of God, I was amongst the students selected to be part of the EPI family.
Initially, I did not know how my academic life in school was going to turn out, but one thing for sure was that, I was always to think about how I was going to pay my academic fees and this would have a great toll on my academics. Then came EPI. Hearing that I had become part of this great family brought a kind of joy which words cannot even accurately describe.
EPI is a family and a great one for that matter. Beneficiaries of EPI are regularly checked up on by the Director in charge to make sure we are fine in all aspects of our lives. In Educational Pathways International, beneficiaries are prepared for life on campus and for the outside world, to become better people who would fit easily into society.
Our activities were going on smoothly, then came the biggest blow to the whole world – COVID-19. Everything in the world was somehow disrupted and academic life was not left out as schools were closed down. Upon all these happenings, EPI still checked up on its beneficiaries in their various homes to make sure each one of them was doing well. If Educational Pathways International proved anything, the proof was that it really cared about the wellbeing of its beneficiaries and not just giving them relief in terms of their financial support for their university education and that is why I will always refer to EPI as a family.
May EPI continue to grow so that smiles would be put on the faces of many who are brilliant and needy as I am. Long live EPI!

My name is Bright Asante, a second year BSc. Biochemistry student in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST, Ghana. I got to know about Educational Pathways International (EPI) through a friend of mine through a list of scholarship units he sent me. At a glance, I knew choosing EPI was the right choice I could ever make and so I took the bold step by applying. After a series of interviews, I was selected to be part of the EPI family by the grace of God.
Becoming part of the EPI family has played an important role in my life as a student because with EPI the “go-for-it” attitude has been instilled in me. I have been taught to set goals for myself in various aspects of my life, especially with respect to academics, and also gear all my efforts toward the accomplishment of the set goals. Also, with Educational Pathways International my focus is not set on the “smaller picture” which is my life as a student but on the “larger picture” which encompasses my life in and after school. This is because through EPI, I have been taken through some training which will help me in school and also in the corporate world after school. I am not anxious as to what would become of me when I leave school due to the things I have learnt and acquired during these monthly meetings and trainings that I have had the opportunity to take part in.
I have always been a person who is fascinated about nature and scientific discoveries. I found biochemistry as an avenue for satisfying this curiosity of mine by putting the knowledge gained into practice. Biochemistry helps one in better understanding of life particularly at the molecular level, that is, enzymes, amino acids, hormones, nucleic acids, and others. And this is what almost all science related programs are based on. Many groundbreaking researches in science leading to discoveries having positive impacts in people’s lives are applications of biochemistry.
It is my aim that after completing my four-year programme (BSc. Biochemistry), I would further my education in Biochemistry to obtain a master’s degree and move on to PhD which will improve my knowledge and understanding in any aspect of biochemistry so as to be an effective contributor to the development of my country.
The community in which I reside is faced with many problems ranging from health to sanitation and therefore with my knowledge in biochemistry I would be able to educate the people in my community on how to protect themselves from certain diseases and also to be people who are conscious of their sanitation. I also hope to work in a Research Institute in my country, Ghana where investigations into diseases are made so as to bring a stop to the spread of such diseases.
Educational Pathways International has done so much in my life and I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude to the organization for the pivotal role it has played in my life, because apart from fulfilling my financial needs I have been refined in many aspects which I strongly believe will make me a better person who will contribute to the development of my community and country. God bless EPI for the great investment they are making in my life.

Being a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship has been of great importance and a stepping stone for me in my educational and career journey. My name is Susanna Awinson Anovunga, a third-year biochemistry Student of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Navrongo campus now CK-Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CK-T UTAS) located in the Upper East region of Ghana.
My tertiary education has been taken care of by EPI from my first year in the University. And truth be told, funding for school would otherwise have been impossible. Having lost my father and my mother just a seamstress, my siblings and I were in danger of missing out on the many advantages and opportunities brought about by education. However, EPI gave me the chance to pursue my education in the University and build myself up in many other ways.
Apart from the financial support from EPI Scholarship, we are also taken through training on various topics like leadership and personal development, entrepreneurship just to mention a few so that we can take up opportunities, offer services and gain a source of livelihood from, preparing oneself for the corporate world among others. As a beneficiary of the scholarship I am also privileged to be taken through counselling sessions and given support in courses that I face problems in so that I can perform well in our academics.
The previous academic year was a very challenging one for everyone and especially for students due to the covid 19 pandemic. However, we had periodic checkups from EPI and we were encouraged to keep calm, help in educating our societies on covid and keep doing our best as students and citizens of the country Ghana. Though faced with anxieties, the year also gave us an opportunity to learn outside the classroom, got other experiences, learn how to cope with the uncertainties of life and also allowed us to give ourselves up for service to our communities during the intense panic periods. Some activities I personally undertook during the period were sensitization of people on the pandemic and helping the younger ones to keep up their school lessons since they were all home.
I love Biochemistry. And I especially love the possibility of helping in research of various health conditions particularly in the area of genomics. My career ambition is to do health research in genomics and help bring better understanding and enlightenment to people on genetic issues and disorders. As a beneficiary of EPI and seeing how EPI has enabled me pursue my tertiary education, I am also drawn and will be an advocate of giving back to society and helping the underprivileged to also be able to develop their potentials and become assets to society. Educational Pathways International (EPI) is truly an Organization that has people at heart and helps to bring the best out of them. I am forever grateful to EPI. Thank you.

As a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI), one of my driving motives in life is giving back to society to help the needy and underprivileged and empowering myself to be of useful service to humanity.
I am Susanna Awinsogya Anovunga, a second year Biochemistry student of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Navrongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana. My university education is sponsored by Educational Pathways International (EPI). I have been on this scholarship for two years now and it has been a great opportunity and a chance to pursue my academic potentials and gain the needed insights and skills to impact society.
My desire to pursue Biochemistry and to equip myself towards my ambitions would have just remained mere desires without the financial support from EPI. This scholarship has taken the burden of seeking around for finances to settle my bills and has afforded me the calm I need to study and engage in useful extracurricular activities like leadership formations and seminars. I can now fully give my attention to my studies and attain the academic excellence I aspire to attain. With issues of financial burden taken care of, I can also partake in other non-academic activities to build myself up and be able to perform effectively wherever I find myself. Some of these activities include seminars and youth development programmes.
Aside the financial support given by EPI, we the beneficiaries are also taken through various training sessions every trimester to give us an all-round and balanced education. The training sessions takes us through various topics that are not taught in the classroom but which are needed to be able to fit into the corporate world properly. Some of the topics we are taken through include effective CV and report writing, preparing oneself for the job market, goal setting, entrepreneurship, competences that employers seek in employees and preparing for interviews, these are among the few that I have had the opportunity to participate in. This helps us to stand out and be the very best of ourselves wherever we are.
Healthy living has always been a top priority for me and a degree in Biochemistry will give me the necessary skills and techniques needed for health research. A country which has healthy people will almost certainly have high work productivity. I therefore intend to use the knowledge and skills obtained within this four-year programme to contribute to scientific health research and help improve the health wellbeing of Ghanaian citizens and the world at large. I also seek to be an inspiration to others never to give up on their ambitions and to work toward attaining them.
With this said, I will forever remain grateful to Educational Pathways International (EPI) for giving me the opportunity to continue my education and for the chance to also develop myself in all aspects to become an effective person and worker wherever I may find myself someday. EPI truly makes one to move forward and become the very best that they were meant to be.

Asana Tungteeya Alhassan is my name, an Educational Pathways International (EPI) beneficiary and a student of the University for Development Studies (UDS). I am a third year student who is offering Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science ( MLSD).

Having come this far on my educational ladder, payment of school fees and other academic levy was a challenge to me because, I belong to a polygamous family in which my father who is just a peasant farmer is the only breadwinner of the house. I gained EPI scholarship when I successfully passed the interview and other requirements.

Being a beneficiary of EPI has been the greatest thing that ever happened in my life. I was awarded a comprehensive scholarship which covers all my educational expenses at the university. This has reduced the financial burden on my parents. And my parents are able to cater for my siblings' educational needs. This has helped in my social life by reducing my family burden. EPI has not only impacted on my educational life but my social life as well. I get to socialize very well with others through our monthly meetings with the Program Director of EPI. In these meetings, we are being taught a lot of things that helps us on our campus life and also when we finish school. EPI has catered for all my educational needs so I do not worry about anything anymore and all I do with my time is to study very well to achieve my dream which is to become a Medical Laboratory Doctor

Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science which is the program pursue at the university is an allied health science. Its main objective is to diagnose and monitor the therapy of various kinds of diseases. It is for these reasons we are termed "the doctor's doctor" because medical doctors depend on the information we produce as medical laboratory doctors to be able to give appropriate prescriptions to patients. These will then lead to the treatment of patients through either pharmacotherapy or surgery. For these reasons, I decided to study no other health program other than what I am studying now. Through this, will have much role to play in the treatment of diseases.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, Medical Laboratory Scientists across the globe played a major role in identifying the virus through various research techniques. They were able to identify the various strains of the virus and vaccines are now produced for this particular virus. The mode of transmission of the virus was identified too which brought about the observation of the COVID-19 protocols During this period, all schools were shut down and I got to learn and appreciate more about the programme I am studying

In future, would like to part-take in so many researches concerning various kinds of diseases and also construct a research laboratory in my community where routine lab tests will be conducted. This will not only have a positive impact on my community but Ghana as a whole.

I will finally like to thank EPI for taking care of my educational as well as social needs. I am indeed grateful for your care and support in my struggle to become a Medical Laboratory Doctor.

I am Asana Tungteeya Alhassan, a second year Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science student at the University for Development studies, Ghana. I am a beneficiary at the Educational Pathways International (EPI).

Coming from a family of eight including my mother and father, life hasn't been easy for us. My mother being a petty trader and my father a peasant farmer, life was so unbearable. We used to go through a lot of suffering to get our daily bread and also get some of our educational needs. With our hard work from my mother's petty trading and my father's peasant farming, my family kept most of the support from this on my education since I was the eldest amongst my siblings.

With this, I studied very hard in order to achieve my goal to become a Medical Laboratory Doctor. God being so great, I was successful with my WASSCE with which I had an entry into the university. Staying in the university, my parents couldn't afford to pay my second year fees which I was supposed to pay before registering for the second year courses. I heard of a scholarship named Educational Pathways International (EPI) which I applied for and was granted the scholarship after a successful interview. The happiest day of my life was this day that I had the EPI's comprehensive scholarship.

With EPI, all my educational needs are being provided for (payment of fees, hostel fees, books and stipends as well). With the amount I get as stipends from EPI, I use it to help my siblings at home who are still at the lower levels of their education and also use part to help my mother in her petty trading. At school, I get to study very well without a disturbed mind which makes it easy for me to understand better. The suffering in my family is so minimal now and my education is going on smoothly without any disturbance. This is all thanks to EPI. I have learnt a lot from my interactions with other EPI beneficiaries in the university during our recent meetings with our Program Director. These sessions shape is to become complete students on campus and more importantly ready for the world outside and the corporate world after school. It has also motivated me to keep on going no matter how difficult the path may be.

Growing up as a child in my community, rendering service to people and also doing what make people happy have always been the best part of me. On the other hand, seeing people suffering and dying is the last thing I wish to see. But what can I do? I asked myself silently. The only answer I got to this question years back was to become a medical practitioner, hence I chose to study Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science in my tertiary education. I did this to reduce the suffering of my people and also reduce the mortality rate in my community. This will go a long way to help Ghana as a whole.

I want to thank Educational Pathways International for taking care of my educational and social needs as well. Thank you for helping me on my struggle to become a Medical Laboratory Science Doctor. Words alone can't describe how grateful I feel towards EPI. Once again, I say a very big thank you.

Sekinatu Adonpoka Karim is my name, from the Northern part of Ghana. I am a third year student pursuing Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science in the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. Growing up, a lot of medical issues in my community led to the demise of most people, this was due to lack of health personnel and health facility. So, specializing in the medical field would help prevent, treat and cure some of the diseases that led to deaths, this inspired my choice of program of study.
Biomedical science is a field that helps in the diagnosis of the various diseases. You get to appropriate the thinnest cell to giant organs. At every level under the microscope is a masterpiece of a work of art. A physician would not conclude on his/her diagnosis without confirming from a biomedical laboratory scientist. It makes you picture what goes on in our system when we consume different substances and the effects they have directly and indirectly. That is the beauty of being a biomedical laboratory scientist, above all it’s a service to humanity.
My strong desire for formal education and motivation from my family’s background has kept me going. As the only girl in my family to get this far in education is a great achievement that makes me proud of myself every day. I come from a polygamous family with my mother being the sole provider with the little income she gets from her petty trading. The small shop which made life a bit easy for us was demolished making our daily survival difficult. My father also helps out with the little he gets from cleaning and doing other manual jobs for people. Life really seemed hard at this point.
My school fees, accommodation, books, and other expenses could not be well catered for by my parents. Just when I thought of giving up my dream, Educational Pathways International (EPI), came in, gave me a comprehensive scholarship brought things in order in my life. My school fees, accommodation, studying materials even including feeding have all been taken care of by Educational Pathways International.
Now, the burden of my education has been taken off my shoulders and that of my parents. I can now study without wondering how my fees and other academic expenses will be taken care of. All I have to do right now is to study very hard, make continuous good grades and realize my dreams. Apart from the monetary support, EPI also organizes sessions where we are taught some topics that will help us in our academics presently and my work in the corporate world in the future.
I say to EPI “thank you” for making me part of this wonderful family. I am sincerely grateful for your support.

Being a biomedical laboratory scientist wasn’t actually my first choice but the idea was to serve humanity. Studying a program that would help humanity is quite fulfilling. Biomedical laboratory science makes you view the word from a whole different dimension, seeing what the mere eyes can’t see by using an aided lens. You can have an opportunity to understand how the tiny things that can’t be seen are able to interact with us giant living organisms. It makes you picture what goes on in our system when we consume different substances and the effects they have directly and indirectly on us.

I must say that every day that goes by makes me more grateful to be a part of the Educational Pathways International(EPI) family. My excitement is no surprise to my family and to the many other beneficiaries of this scholarship programme. My name is Sharon Dufie Agyemang- Prempeh, a third year medical student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and I have been an EPI scholarship recipient since 2018.
The support from EPI became most significant during the lockdown period. During the COVID 19 nationwide lockdown, it was the financial support from the EPI that buffered me in those adverse times. Using my scholarship funds, I was able to purchase data for my online classes, buy my stationery and cover all other educational expenses that came with the online learning format. Thus, I was able to participate fully in all my classes and obtain very good grades.
Aside the financial support I received, I also received emotional support from the EPI online platform(WhatsApp). Our Program Director, Madam Eunice as we affectionately call her, always sent out encouraging messages to us and also checked on us from time to time throughout the lockdown period. Additionally the warmth and harmony displayed in our group made the isolation of the COVID 19 lockdown less daunting and more bearable. This gave me the hope and the peace of mind I needed to know that everything was going to be alright.
If given the opportunity, I could go on and on about how wonderful the Educational Pathways International has been to my family and I but time and space would not permit me. Thus, I end on this note; that the EPI family has been a true family and will continue to have a special place in my heart. May EPI continue to grow from strength to strength!

My name is Sharon Dufie Agyemang-Prempeh and a second year Medical student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) located at Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

I must say that after a year with Educational Pathways International (EPI) I have seen a tremendous amount of progress in my life. Aside the financial relief EPI has granted me, EPI has also provided me with valuable professional skills through regular meetings on relevant topics.

Additionally, EPI has provided me with an avenue to interact with students from different academic and social backgrounds by organizing events such as general meetings and luncheons among beneficiaries. These interactions have helped me to improve my public speaking and networking skills. As result, I feel confident about my prospects in the job market and my holistic development as an individual.

In conclusion I am forever grateful to EPI for what they have done for my family and I. I cannot say with enough words how thankful I am to EPI for helping so many needy students like myself. I will encourage more students to apply for the EPI scholarship so that they can also enjoy all of the benefits of EPI. May God richly bless EPI.

I am Gabriel Appiah, a final year student of the University of Ghana Business School, pursuing Bachelor of Science in Administration and majoring in Accounting. I have been a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme since 2017, my first year. I emerged as one of the privileged students to be selected for the scholarship at the University of Ghana for the 2017/2018 academic year after going through a rigorous application and interview processes.

Competing for the scholarship and being enrolled in it have been a great life-changing opportunities in my life. Before joining the scholarship program, I was a very worried teenager who did not know how his tertiary education would be financed. Though I was good at writing essays, applying for the scholarship made me better at it, and the interview was my first ever, giving me the first ever experience of how interviews are done, and this experience has been great for me. Upon enrollment in the scholarship, the thrice per semester family meetings held over the years have also impacted my life academically, professionally and personally through the treatment of topics like thinking, time management, CV writing, report writing, entrepreneurship and essay writing. The yearly luncheon event brings together the wonderful members of the University of Ghana Educational Pathways International family and our amazing benefactors come all the way from the US just to see us and commune with us on a personal level. This shows how amazing Educational Pathways International is; they are not only giving away their money but they also care about the people to whom their money is given. An Amazing family!

Encountering Educational Pathways International scholarship has also been a super amazing and financial transforming event in my life. My financial background has been weak to the extent that my high school education was financed by a scholarship, and over the years, the financial status of my family had not improved. I really needed a scholarship to the extent that I spent two years searching for one until I found Educational Pathways International scholarship. Over the three years I have been a beneficiary of this scholarship, there has been no moment I had to worry about books, food and any other expenses while I am on campus. I have enjoyed a relatively sound mind to pursue my academics when it comes to finances. My family has also benefited from this scholarship, as I do not trouble them with money issues, so my parents can focus on finding money to support my siblings' education. I have also been in the position to support sometimes, thanks to Educational Pathways International.

The 3.0 GPA per semester minimum requirement of the scholarship has kept me up in my academics, and now I can proudly boast of a CGPA of 3.82 as at the beginning of my final year and I hope to improve it to a FGPA of 3.9+. The compulsory internship or volunteering requirement of the scholarship has also prepared me for the world of work by improving my people skills and increasing my network.

My academic goals are to graduate with a first class, pursue MBA with Accounting specialization in one of the top business schools in North America, and to pursue a PhD in Accounting. In addition, my career goals are to become a world class professional Accountant, a member of ACCA, a Professor, a Financial Consultant, and an Entrepreneur. It is my dream to help develop my community and beloved country, Ghana, by establishing businesses in my community and around the country to help train and employ the youth in Ghana. It is also my dream to help make Ghana the industrial hub of Africa. Educational Pathways International has given me a boost in achieving all these.

I am really grateful to everyone at Educational Pathways International whose effort, directly or indirectly, has contributed to making my dreams come true. Educational Pathways International is truly the best Nonprofit Organization ever!

My name is Gabriel Appiah. I am a third 3rd year student of the University of Ghana Business School, offering Bachelor of Science in Administration (Accounting option), and I am a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship.

I have been a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International scholarship for three (3) years now, from my first year when I was admitted into the University of Ghana. Educational Pathways International scholarship has been a lifesaving program to me. As a student from a weak financial background, my tertiary education would have been a nightmare if I had not met Educational Pathways International scholarship program.

EPI has provided me with yearly comprehensive scholarship through and enormous financial support which covers the yearly payment of my school fees, residential fees, books and an appreciable yearly stipend for up keeping. EPI has also helped me acquire additional knowledge on Time Management, Thinking, Entrepreneurship, CV Writing, Report Writing among others through the monthly family meetings organised by the Program Director of the scholarship. I have learnt how to network as the program brings together beneficiaries from all part of the country as a big family.

The mandatory internship or volunteering requirement of the scholarship has enabled me to gain corporate experiences through the internship and volunteering program I took during the past two (2) summer vacations.

I appreciate the work of the entire Educational Pathways International team who work relentlessly to provide financial and educational support to people of weak financial backgrounds to have a sound and privileged tertiary education. Educational Pathways International is indeed the best non-profit organisation in the world.

Long live Educational Pathways International!

I am Edward Agyemang-Prempeh Jr., a third year Electrical/Electronic Engineering student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, West Africa, and a very proud beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme.

During the time I have spent with EPI as a family on campus so far, I have had a very wonderful experience. The family has been so welcoming and supportive and is definitely one that I would never want to part ways with.
I want to share some of the experiences I have had with the EPI family, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown period.

Right from the time the government locked the country down up till date, I never felt the absence of the EPI family. The Program Director always kept in touch with us through the social media platform, WhatsApp and she always made sure to check up on us. The common virtual platform that we all shared as a family also helped to communicate with ourselves and this helped us to maintain the beautiful connection that we have as a united family. We motivated ourselves to study hard even in those times when it seemed as if the world would never recover back to its former self again.
There were times when the family was a pillar in my life and helped me to go through the times of frustration and uneasiness through their kind and loving words.

I’ll forever be thankful for the opportunity that has been given me to be a part of the EPI family because if not, where would I be? I thank the Almighty God for also giving me this chance to experience the greatness embedded into the members of the EPI family. I pray that EPI forever remain in a position to help a lot of people especially brilliant students in need. May God bless us all.
Thank you.

Edward Agyemang-Prempeh Jr., a second year Electrical/Electronic Engineering student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, West Africa, and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship programme.

Being a beneficiary of the esteemed scholarship scheme for over a year now, I am proud to say I can call this Organization a family. The stakeholders involved have made sure I am groomed to be the best version of myself.

Throughout the time I've been on this scholarship, they have done their best to train me for the cooperate world. Various lessons and mentorship sessions on how to relate with others in the field of work we might find ourselves have been organized for us. They organize meetings to empower every member of the family to give our best in all that we do especially in our academic endeavours. I have been educated on very vital topics such as time management, creativity, collaboration and adaptability, all of which are meant to prepare me for the corporate world. This has helped me to realize how to see the world not only for what it is, but also for what it could become.

EPI is a great family to be with. Throughout the ups and downs we face, they have tried the best they can to support us both financially and emotionally. For that, I appreciate them a lot and I hope and pray that the Good Lord takes the whole family to greater heights.

Educational Pathways International (EPI) has been a great pillar in my life since I joined this great family in October 2019. Since I joined EPI, it has helped kept me on my toes in terms of my academics due to the requirements supposed to be attained to be part and remain a part of this family. EPI has also aided me in terms of my finances with respect to school fees, residential fees, books, and stipend for my general upkeep as compared to when I was not enrolled in this scholarship where times were extremely hard for me as a student which affected my life a lot but now due to the support of EPI, I am able to learn with a sound mind devoid of any thinking about my finances. Even though I had parents my education could not be supported by them since they are faced with financial challenges. By the grace of God, EPI showed up and awarded me a comprehensive scholarship which has made my life on campus easy and it has given me a sound mind to concentrate on my studies and get better grades required by the scholarship.

Even in times where things weren’t normal due to the COVID-19 our EPI Director occasionally checked up on us encouraging us to cope with the new online module of studies and constantly reminding us to be safe. For me just that gave me a sense of belongingness. It motivated me to study harder whiles at home even though there were challenges such as distraction with home chores, internet connectivity issues and many others. Also, EPI has equipped me with subsidiary skills through certain topics we were taught last year such as public speaking, interviews, and the requirement of internship, made me get more experience when schools were closed. I got to work with a finance department of City of Refuge Ministries which enhanced my knowledge in my field and made me handle more practical work aside what was taught at school. These, and many others have made me really appreciate EPI for the good work and support in many lives like mine.

The reason why I pursued BSc. Administration is to achieve my main goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant. It is also to help the weak feminine in the society to gain good financial grounds which helps reduce the high rate of women depending on their husbands. This will help reduce high rate of abuses suffered by some women from their husbands due to their dependence on them, which further goes to reduce poverty in the nation. Aside my dream of being a Chartered Accountant there are several job opportunities offered immediately after school which can earn me some income to take care of my parents and aid in the education of my younger sisters and to help make my family of good financial standing.

After my completion of my first degree, I will further take my professional courses to gain my Accountancy certificate which will aid my dreams of coming into fulfillment. However, I will not dedicate all my four years just for another schooling because taking these professional courses take about three to four years. I will be working alongside schooling in any company or institution that offers a job within my degree qualification being it government or private institution. Also, I stay in a community where there are a lot of children who face difficulty in education and I occasionally help them by teaching them anytime I am on vacation and it will continue even after I complete school. I know how frustrating it is to learn without any aid so I have taken it upon myself to constantly teach them and help them in whatever way I can in terms of their academics which in the long run will boost the literacy rate of the nation and help in building the nation Ghana.

Finally, I want to commend EPI for their big hearts and their good deeds in touching a lot of lives which would have been wasted due to financial difficulties. It is my desire that EPI grow to become great and ascertain greater heights.

Educational Pathway International (EPI) is a non- profit organization, which guides, supports and empowers young people who are brilliant and needy through a comprehensive scholarship program for university students. This nongovernmental organization helps young people to achieve their educational and career goals.

Grace Bichenlib is my name, a fourth year medical student of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana. I was favoured to get this marvellous scholarship from EPI and since then, my life has totally changed for good. I gained admission into the University for Development Studies in August 2017. This was very great news to my family and I. But the disappointing part of it was that, we were financially incapacitated. But thanks to Educational Pathways International (EPI), which came my way to help me and that of my family. Because of EPI’s scholarship, I have nothing to worry about when it comes to the necessities needed for my education, EPI provides everything financially. The only thing left is for me to focus on my studies and this has really helped me improve academically and to explore more in my field of studies (Medicine).

When I was a child, anytime I see someone with an illness, I always feel the need to help the person. This made me develop interest to study science especially the human biological aspect.

Finding myself in the medical school is an opportunity for me to attain more knowledge about the human body and health to become one of the best medical doctors in the world. Thanks to EPI for making by dream come to a reality. The fourth year in the medical school is one of the years that I really spent much because I had to buy all the books and medical instruments such as stethoscope, patella hammer, pen touch and attires like white coats for ward rounds and scrubs for theatre sections. EPI lifted all the burdens off my shoulders by providing me the money for all these things. The COVID 19 pandemic has really affected a lot of businesses and I was really thinking if EPI could still sponsor me but the organization never consider this as a problem to the extent that they even awarded more students scholarship.

Meeting EPI has really changed my life. I used to think when we talk about education, it is just about you learning only things pertaining to your field of study but EPI has thought me that education is holistic. Apart from what I learn in class as a medical student, EPI has also thought me a lot of things like Entrepreneurship, Time management, the top five skills every employer requires, article writing and a lot more. This I believe will make me unique and also prepare me to fit in any field of life.

Words are not enough to describe the marvelous things EPI has done for me. I can only say I am grateful.

I have loved science since my basic education especially the human aspect of science. I loved to study the systems and every part of human body, because of this, I told myself I was going to do something pertaining to health. I got to know that before I could know much about the human body, then I would have to be a Doctor. This was the time I started learning hard in order to acquire the grade that would send me to a medical school.

Finding myself in the medical school is an opportunity for me to explore more about the human body and become one of the best Medical Doctors in the world. Without EPI, my dreams wouldn’t have been a reality. Thanks to EPI who made this possible for me. Confidence Antwi is my name, I am a final year Computer Engineering student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. I have been part of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship programme since 2017. The scholarship has been very instrumental in my university education and has impacted various aspects of my life.

The financial support from EPI helps to settle all my university expenses because it is a comprehensive scholarship. This helps me to focus mainly on my academics and career objectives and not to think about any financial need. The financial support has also helped my mother to save some money to run her trade.

Through the annual luncheon events and thrice semester leadership workshops and meetings, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and get to know other scholars, socialize, make friends and also extend my network of professionals.

Through our career and leadership workshops, I have learnt valuable lessons and insights that are needed at the workplace and in life. Through the workshops, I have learnt and developed leadership skills, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills just to mention a few. I have also learnt how to write good reports and a winning curriculum vitae.

Being part of EPI has made me to take my academics seriously and always striving to be the best, as a result, I have always maintained a good average every academic year. Pursuing Computer Engineering as a career path is very promising due to the plethora of job opportunities available in that field, in order to prepare me adequately to capitalize on the opportunities in the IT industry I chose to read Computer Engineering which is also in line with my career objectives.

It is my desire that after I have been firmly established in life, I will help establish an IT foundation that will equip individuals with knowledge and skills in computers and programming in rural areas. This is because the future is all about digitization and people cannot be part of it without IT literacy.

With a heart filled with gratitude and joy, I say, Thanks Educational Pathways International.

Confidence Antwi is my name. I am a second year Computer Engineering student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). My life has been positively impacted since I become part of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship program in 2017. I hail from a family that is singly supported by my mother who is a petty trader, her income is nothing to talk about. Due to financial restraints my elder sister could not further her studies so that our mother could send me to Senior High School. I stayed home for a year before coming to the university. Since I became a recipient of EPI scholarship my whole life and that of my family has gotten a tremendous turn around. The financial assistance I received helped me to settle all my university needs since it’s a full. I now have the peace of mind to focus mainly on my studies and my career aspirations. My mother and my sister are also relieved of the burden of getting money to pay my university’s fees which is too high for them to bear.

The scholarship scheme has been the caretaker of all my university expenses including paying my academic and residential fees, money for my upkeep and other miscellaneous expenses. The EPI scholarship has also provided me the opportunity of going through regular mentorship programs in career development, achieving academic excellence and entrepreneurial skills.

With EPI I will be able to pursue career goals which are; to work as a professional and certified computer engineer, finding a stable job, work in my own IT business startup that will enable me use my skills effectively, to become an expert in the field of computer science and engineering in fututre, this will give me the opportunity of developing more ideas that could provide solutions to problems we face in the IT field.

I am forever indebted to EPI, and I encourage them to keep up with the great work they are doing, and God bless them bountifully.

I am in the person of Rosemond Dabo. A third year Nursing student in the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship.
EPI has really impacted my life in diverse ways since I got the opportunity to be part of this family. The leadership skills we are taught, the need to take up roles in the society, right conduct to put up and the advice we are given, the numerous pieces of skills and training which are taught in our seminars and conferences has really shaped my life. The Nursing programme I am currently offering, is a stepping stone to the Anesthetist I have always dreamt of becoming. That is obtaining a BSc. degree in Nursing, obtain a certified Registered Nurse license, practice for a year and further pursue a master’s degree in anesthesia and gain a certified registered nurse anesthetist license to practice as an Anesthetist. Having at heart the need of brilliant but less privilege and hopeless children in my society, I strongly believe I will be able to help them attain greater heights and achieve their goals. My dream of building an Orphanage home for the hopeless and children on the street.
I call EPI a God-sent. Despite the financial challenges my family faces which always stirred up a thought in my head that my dreams and aspiration were shuttered and that I will drop out of school, EPI came to my rescue. Being the first born of two other siblings whose lives are somehow dependent on me and having the need of helping others reach their goal in life, I thought they were impossible because of the challenges I was facing. These responsibilities I feared I would not be able to perform now I strongly believe I can because of EPI. This pandemic that hit the entire world which caused us to stay home for about 10 months has not been easy but very educative and a time of learning new ideas. Within those periods, I helped my parents at home and learnt a bit of other concepts on my own. Not forgetting the online examination to complete those courses we studied which was a great experience and successful.
I study with joy and peace of mind and have been saved from a lot of stressors. My parents have been relieved of the huge financial burden for my educations. I am grateful to EPI for the joy, relief and peace to study. I have hope that my dreams and aspirations will become a reality because EPI gave me the opportunity.

Rosemond Dabo is my name. I am a student of the University for Development Studies in Ghana, offering BSc Nursing and currently in year two.
I consider Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Program to be a God-sent financial aid to me in my life as it became a source of hope to my family and I at a point where all hope was lost. Before I had the scholarship scheme in November, 2019, my family was finding it very difficult to cater for me in school. There was this other side of the story that I might have even dropped out of school. But, thanks to EPI I am still in school and without a single worry as to how I will pay for my fees, accommodation, books and cater for myself and even my family.
Moreover, EPI through their general meeting that I attended not long ago I learnt how to write a CV, the need to save for the future, with determination I can achieve all my dreams. EPI has not only solved my immediate issues but has also given me the hope that I can surely become the Anesthetist I dream of becoming one day. I deem it a great privilege and responsibility to save the lives of my fellow humans in the near future.
But had it not been EPI, there would have been no iota of hope that the dream can be achieved. It is also my utmost dream and desire to help the less privileged and the needy. Before I had the scholarship, I used to wonder whether it is possible to contribute my quota through my dreams. But now, I have no doubt that I can and I will, it is all because EPI has given me a chance to make an impact in the future.
A very big thank you to EPI for the great opportunity given to me. I am highly grateful.
